Love both of these books. But am sad to see "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" knocked out this early, as it is my favorite book of all time!
"A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" is by far the best of these two.
OMG - read both books in my 40s and HATED them both. Bklyn was miserable and depressing, Rye was boring, dated and pointless.
