Do You Take A Moment To Remember?
At any time on November 11th, do you pause to give thought to veterans of armed conflict?
Do you sort of not think much about Remembrance Day at all - it was something you did in elementary school and never really "got" anyways.
Do you take a full minute of silence at 11am, on the 11th day of the 11th month, to mark the moment that peace was agreed after WWI?
Do you choose not to engage in any Remembrance Day activities because you believe that doing so constitutes the glorification of armed conflict and large scale violence?
Do you think that the rituals and ceremonies of Remembrance Day are outdated - most of the WWI and WWII vets are dead now, and those are the wars this was all supposed to be about.
