for me, although oasis had the swagger and stage presence. when it came to the music, blur had it in spades. oasis were and always will be a band best appreciated in a field. slightly pissed, with a group of mates singing along to their anthemic chorus's.
blur on the other hand had anthemic songs but albums that could be enjoyed alone, in solitude with your headphones on. they had the wordcraft as well as the stagecraft. their songs made sense, and didn't seem like a lot of words that just happened to rhyme strung together to be sung alongside loud guitars.
and that is why i voted for blur.
