What do you think of Urban Meyer and Ohio State after Saturday's loss to Michigan State?

I feel like that there a variety of things to blame for this loss on two fronts, the Buckeyes who just didn't bring their best on Offense and Defense as well as College Football itself. I think that Urban Meyer is a fantastic coach and that my Buckeyes are a much better team than any other in the Big Ten and perhaps much better than most all teams in the country this season. He has a tremendous amount to do with that. HIs vision helped produces what we enjoyed. The last 2 games were disappointing and I could hardly watch. But, explanations require much details and the Bucks needed more practice against better teams to beat the Michigan programs at a higher level.

College Football authorities need to turn the Bowl system into a Playoff system totally like the College Basketball Playoffs. The football teams would get better and the ridiculous notions about conferences and reputations would have to go away because more team abilities and less voter decisions would be the key indicators of success that would move teams on or not through competition leading to a champion. The Bowl system is a political and financial construct of the past which does not produce sensible results that programs need.

Determining who is 5th or 20th is just as important as determining who is no.1 because all students are important and all organizations with this much expense personally, financially ,and professionally deserve and need a performance indicator of growth each year. Season ending rankings from a play-off system allow this.

    Go Bucks. Go Coach...

I'll confess I'm not a Buckeye fan but I am a Big Ten fan. I would have liked to see Ohio State play for the Championship.
There will be years when Ohio State loses 1,2 or even 3 games but you would be wise to keep your coach for as long as you can. I tip my hat to those programs who always seem to have the recipe for winning

I think a lot of us felt all of these emotions since the game ended. Just remember it is a game; all be it a great game but just a game and life goes on. We'll be back in the hunt for years to come. GO BUCKEYES!!! We still have one more big game. Relax, enjoy and be grateful you are not a Wolverine fan. :-)

It looked like we didn't even practice/prepare for this team. Too many mistakes on defense, and only using Miller and Hyde to run with the ball (as pointed out by the commentators) was the same old, same old. Granted, the record is great, but this shouldn't have been the game to lose.

Florida State's schedule was rated worse than the Buck's.
I don't hear anyone complaining about that.
Buck's have played in three national title games in recent
years. Win or lose they played.
All you anti-Buck fans go to church and beg forgiveness.
    Jealousy is a SIN.
    Amen!

24-1, I'll take that every two years.
    Great season, great team.
Every team in the country would
    like that.
    Go Bucks, Go Browns.

Our defensive coordinators and our secondary coaches both need to go!
they could not create a scheme to stop a local peewee team. Seriously they are really bad and need to be replaced. The loss of one guy early in the season could not have created all the problems that we saw all year long in the pass defense. Pathetic!

The buckeye fans are dillusional with this 24-1 crap. Take a look at the schedule. Pathetic to brag about this. They are not a top 20 team

Why is no one pointing out the abysmal play calling , Hyde should have carried 30+ times and the TE's should have been much more involved. And that empty backfield crap on 4th down,,,,EVERYONE watching knew exactly what was coming. It was as bad as the old LeBron isolation play's the Cav's used to run at the end of games. For some reason Tom Herman gets all kinds of positive run well I hope he get's another job then SOON, he deserves much blame and Urb shoud have overruled him multiple times. With the obvious defensive short comings on this team the offense needed to be flawless. And find some Safeties than can cover!!!!

Was this poll some kind of joke? All the options were negative! 24 wins out of 25 games and you ask THESE questions? I'll take Coach Meyer record, (24-1) (2-0 vs u.m) every two yrs, for the rest of my life!!! That is all...

    It's the same old story:
Who did you play and who did you beat?
In our case it was nobody and nobody.
Beating a 4-loss Michigan team by the skin of our teeth should have been the handwriting on the wall.
Now I just hope we don't lose two in a row.
    Think that can't happen?
    Think again...
