You let her talk to you and your friends crazy and disrespectful and you don't say a word(you act like a kid). They should show all the times that you were going off on other people and you should study how you voiced your opinion and do the same to your mother. You need to put her in her place (and her sisters, who have jumped on her band wagon) You let your mother do the same thing when you were going to get marry before. This is her mother you idiots. I'm sorry I think Momma Joyce is right on the money. If I had a close friend who was getting married and this was the situation and it was not true, I would feel sad and devastated and remove myself from the situation other than suggest she choose me or her mother. I feel her continuing to stay and fight back at Kandi's mom shows she is low class and desperate to not miss any of those crumbs dropping even if it means fighting her friends momma on television and being accused of sleeping with her fiance. Them crumbs ( or that man) must be real good to wreck your character and receive 15 seconds in front of the camera. I also do not believe Todd loves Kandi. If I sincerely loved a man, I am not going to be beefed out with his father and supportive of some other man being around who I am being accused of sleeping with. Kandi's mother is acting like a street thug! She has an obsession and if Kandi does not seek professional help on how to respond to her Mother's destructive behavior, this state of denial she has chosen to live in, will result in her losing all who REALLY love her. For instance, her mother accused Carmen of wanting Kandi's seconds.... What is Joyce doing with Kandi's house? Exactly what she is accusing others of.
You do not OWE respect to anyone. They most EARN it. And Kandi seems to have a problem understanding what she owes her mother. Would she respect her mom if she were a thief, or murderer? I think not. And as a THUG - her mother deserves NO Respect.

Todd should run away as fast as he can. As Carmon said, her mother is evil. She is also a liar. He needs to remember this about his fiancee; the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Todd has consistently told her she has do something about it and she said she can't. Believe her!! This will not change when they are married. Run! Run!
