Which NFC championship QB would you rather have on your team?

This isn't exactly who is BETTER remember- obviously Kaepernick has more experience in this situation and has won games on the road now, but overall Wilsons stats are slightly better this season even though he barely throws the ball and his offense had a lot of injuries, and brings a certain spirit to the team that helps fuel that monster 12th man. 49ers are really hot right now with consistent defense and balanced offense, Hawks have home field and a lot of fighting spirit after historically being underdogs in the league that have shot into prominence, as well as rock solid defense. This game should be amazing to watch and I think it really will come down to how these young QBs show up and lead against tough defenses. With that in mind, I think Wilson is the better leader so I am going with him. He is respected by his fans and his team without question, always keeps his cool during tough games and never falters in the season when his stats aren't looking so great. Nothing against Kaepernick, I thinks he's a good QB and not just a punk, but I don't think he could pull off what Wilson has this year. Imagine if he didn't have Staley at LT for half the year, and his RT and C for multiple games too. AND if he only had Anquan Bolden for the first half of the year, and never got Crabtree back! That's basically how much Wilson got screwed this year so he's above Kaepernick this year in my book.

That being said, none of this will really matter sunday, so lets keep it clean and just enjoy the game

    Kaepernick 49ers........

  • Tricia - 10 years ago

    Colin Kaepernick of course!!

  • aaron - 10 years ago

All i know is Kaepernick and his boys are ready to take down the seahawks hands down #super bowl #questforsix

  • dee - 10 years ago

healthy competition can be good in sports... however character bashing is uncalled for! I look forward to the Seahawks - 49ers showdown on Sunday! Having said that.... sorry Kapernick... you have NOTHING on Russell Wilson! He has out-classed you and he will out-play you. GO SEAHAWKS!

  • KWStenman - 10 years ago

The real problem is this article itself drawing out the worst of the overly competitive fans. Also, I prefer Russell only because Kaepernick came in and rode off the success of Alex smith sticking with the team through the tough years as harbaugh, however annoying he may be, did a great job rebuilding the team and when they finally reached their highest potential, Smith misses two games and is replaced. Then I saw Kaepernick play and although I'm sure he is a good person he appeared really full of himself on the field sometimes with his new found fame that came from the great team around him, and accomplished the same stuff Alex smith did without what seemed like arrogance at the time. His stats were bolstered since he was a backup and nobody was worried about him for the first few games and played tight run defense letting him have great passing stats. Also Russell has played this year without Sidney Rice for a while and Percy Harvin the whole year, while Kaepernick still had Davis and Bolden all year, the second of which Alex Smith never had but still Kaepernick isn't doing all that much better than him. Russell has done just as much without as much talent around him- both have great RB, great defenses but Russell's O line has been hurt a lot and lost his best WRs, that's why I have more respect for what he's done this year.

If you guys did your research you would know Kaepernick kisses his biceps because his " Faith" tattoo is on it he is a Lutheran and has multiple tatts of God on him. Russell Wilson is also christian he claims to have seen Jesus in a dream when he was 14. Both of these people are great and Colin is very misunderstood. Truly I don't know who i would pick.

It seems as though the Seahawks fans know NOTHING about Kap and what he does for charities and the type of guy he is outside of football. You all are so judgmental!!

Then again, perhaps the Seahawks are scared for the game on Sunday so they are coming out in groves to bash Kap..........

  • alana gomez - 10 years ago

All this SF 9er QB bashing, making character statements of young Kappy. He's 26! Remember when you were 26? All that matters is W on play day. All the talk of Wilson's better character, all that matters is the character on the field. Go 9ers.
So a Seattle station is leading their fans to a website? Please, don't you people have better things to do?

  • Cody - 10 years ago

    I'm 110% for kaepernick!!

  • Skyler Funderberk - 10 years ago

Kaepershit doesn't is gay... at least russell actually supports charities and shit and doesnt waste money on what? Private Jets?

  • Skyler Funderberk - 10 years ago

  • Radar - 10 years ago

I find it funny Seahawk fans speak about Kaepernick, yet none of them know him or apparently are aware of the work he does in the community as well. And you all talk about how classy your fans are, but look at the way you are describing Kap, and again, none of you know him. If you displayed the class of Wilson, I could respect your opinion, yet you choose to display the class of the rest of the players on the Hawks. Which is none.

  • Nick - 10 years ago

What's with all the personal crap? I keep hearing people talk about Kap's character like they know these guys personally. Terri, Valerie, Katherine; do your definititions of high character include attacking strangers personally. If thats the case I can't put a lot of stock in your opinions. And to the d-bag talking about how Kap presents himself to God: do you not realize most of those tatoos are bible verse?
Both of these young men are talented success stories; I would have to pick Kap just because of what he does in the post-season when the pressure is on. To me its the difference between a Payton Manning (has all the numbers) and Tom Brady (owns all the hardware) but only time will tell on that score.
Other than that; this is a sport, being on one team does not make you a bad person; I have loved this game all me life but sometimes the fans of it just make me ashamed

  • rubedogg - 10 years ago

Colin Kaep definately has a better hairstyle than R. Wilson.

  • K-DAWG - 10 years ago

as a Seattle fan, its soooo hard to say this, but COLIN KAEPERNICK is the BETTER QB, we are just a team with an annoyingly loud stadium, I know im going to get shit for this but its true, we have the 12th man, but 49ers have an EMPIRE!!!

  • Raf - 10 years ago

Seriously. What are you children? Wilson has been figured out. That's why he lost two of his last three regular season games. That's why in his last three games he posted a 103 yard passing game and a 108 passing game. That's terrible no matter what this vote says. All Kaep does is win. Eight in a row and three in a row on the road. But go ahead, vote for Wilson lol.

  • jeremy - 10 years ago

I'd like to point out that krapperdick made the superbowl riding on wins Partially made by Alex Smith. No comparison. Russell Wilson is the better QB, Russell Wilson has more wins than any qb in nfl history his first 2 yrs. That's undeniable. Krapperdick is a dolphin fan anyways.

  • MontanaGirl - 10 years ago

Wilson of course, Colin Kaepernick is no contest...its like night and day.

  • jag - 10 years ago

@COLIN KAEPERNICK FAN...you might want to become a better fan...it was his SECOND year with the 49ers.

  • morebacon - 10 years ago

    oh. before i go

    All this CK hating

Isnt richard sherman the SeaCows 2nd most popular player? or would that be Marshawn 'Hit and Run' Lynch?

(The hit and run would be in his Escalade in Buffalo)

  • butterkin - 10 years ago

    Im confused
Is the poll to determine which QB I woud like to marry my daughter?
or which QB has the most skill and accomplishments?

Also, whats up with the Seattle radio station steering people to a Los Angeles opinion pole.

The vote is already in. Seattle you are good people. You dont need to prove it.

  • terri - 10 years ago

No contest! C.K. looks like somebody tagged all over him, shows up for press conferences looking like my 16 year old Grandson trying to fit in. Too bad he doesn't grow up and realize he is a roll model, and what he is projecting. YHe doesn't just rep the NFL., he is what other people around the world see, and think he rep's the U.S. No thanks, I would rather have someone who presents himself to God, his fans, peers, & the world like Wilson!!

  • Katherine - 10 years ago

Both are talented QBs who have great futures a head of them. The difference in this two QB's and these two teams is in their character. Kap only cares about himself which is evident in how he presents himself to the world in his attire, social media posts, and even actions on the field - kissing your bicep - REALLY?!?!?!?! Wilson is selfless and cares about everyone before himself which he displays at every opportunity in spending time with his fans and giving back to our community at every turn. Proverbs 19:17 is very clear on who is the better QB - Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

  • Bella - 10 years ago

Kaepernick. I don't hate the Seahawks players or their coach, but Seahawk fans are pretty damn annoying.

Even though this is a California paper Seattle News station Q13 has this linked to their Facebook page hence all the Hawks fans that have come out in droves. Proud PNW resident who is rooting for the 49ers.

  • 12th Man - 10 years ago

@Matt better check NFL.com on your stats your right Kaepernick is #7 QB, however Wilson is ranked #3... lol

  • Matt - 10 years ago

Kaep QB Rating for 2013 season was 68.6, ranking him #7 qb for the year. Wilson isn't even in the top 10. LOL.

  • 12th Man - 10 years ago

@CollinKaepernick fan check your stats first! Yeah our terrible QB is outplaying yours! (Now here is where you bring up your 5 SB rings that are 19+ years old)

    Passing Yards:
    RW- 3185 CK-2887
    Completions:
    RW- 63% CK- 58.1%
    Interceptions:
    RW- 9 CK-8
    QB Ratings-
    RW- 101.1 CK-89.9
    Rushing Yards:
    RW- 540 CK- 500

Russell Wilson is an amazing leader, the most humble player I've ever seen on any team, and an amazing man off the field too! I'd take Russell any day of the week and twice on Sunday's before Kaepernick!

  • MissBeth - 10 years ago

    The results are HILARIOUS!!!!
This is a poll, in a California paper, and the Seattle QB has 81% of the vote at the moment???

    WOW, JUST WOW!!!!

  • COLIN KAEPERNICK FAN - 10 years ago

wilson sucks, you guys dont know shit about football. he made it to the super bowl his first year with the 49ers. he has set records. and he just beat the packers and carolina panthers. wilson just beat the saints and he didnt do anything it was all lynch. Colin Kaepernick is way faster and a better thrower and a better overall player. 49ers all the way! he just beat rodgers and then cam newton in their own stadium. hes 3-0 on the road.

  • Susan - 10 years ago

It's okay Emily, Collin thinks so too. Maybe the two of you can start a fan club. I for one vote Wilson all the way.

  • GAYLE HOPKINS - 10 years ago

Russell Wilson is an honest, caring, loves his #12's, gives to his community, a true athlete, he is high class, Russell is truely one that all kids will look up to as their hero, very outstanding human being and will be around for a long time, GO HAWKS!!!

  • chris - 10 years ago

WILSON!!!! he shows class character & sportsmanship on & off the field . I am a Seahawk fan since 1980 & live in Sacramento . Watching football since I was a little girl I have seen all sorts of fans & players . Seahawk fans are classy & respectful, can't say that for all of the other teams , we support our team win or lose, again not all fans do. I wear my seahawk gear proudly here in Sacramento. I fly a seahawk flag from my porch. We are loud & proud !!!! 12th man for life GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!

  • doreen - 10 years ago

CK is a punk. He was disrespectful to both Cam N. and Aaron R. He thaught he was funny he needs to think again (if that is possible). Rogers has earned the respect of most players and Cam was very respectful to his opponent in the press conference. But what do you expect when you are mentored by the biggest A;-hole coach in the league. Hairball is obnoxios, disrespful and big baby whiner. When he doesn't get the call he wants he throws a tantrum on the sidelines. He needs to go away. There whole team is CLASSLESS!!!

  • Valerie - 10 years ago

Kaepernick to an old lady laying in the street asking for some help up "Not now lady. I'm kissing my incredible biceps".

  • NinerNationNotNow - 10 years ago

The Separation is in the Preparation.

  • Cheri - 10 years ago

Colin a snake.............. Wilson has CLASS

  • Babygirl - 10 years ago

Better man, better QB. CK is so full of himself. Like they say, Pride comes before the FALL! Go SEAHAWKS!!!! And there are no fans like SEAHAWK fans!!!! We have character and commitment, just like Russel does. The whole team infact. We got the tools.....we got the talent!!!!!!!!!!

  • Julie O'Keeffe - 10 years ago

Although both are young and extremely talented, Russell Wilson has obtained a level of maturity that shows true leadership. He will only get better with experience. He is a true humanitarian on and off the field. He supports his fans and encourages good sportsmanship. I hope Colin K matures through time to equal his talent, but unfortunately I don't believe he will ever represent himself or his team to the high level Wilson does.

  • Kylie - 10 years ago

    GO SEAHAWKS!!!!

  • SDodson - 10 years ago

Kaepernick is a hood rat!! He looks like he should be in a rap video, not trying to lead a team. Wilson carries himself like a professional. You see him in suits...not in a hoodie with his hat sideways. He is the true definition of a leader!! He is selfless. On and off the field! Go Hawks!!!

  • Amanda - 10 years ago

Russell Wilson is a better player and a better person. He truly cares for everyone else but himself and takes the time to show it. He is just a classy person. I want to mention a quick note, I've never owned a jersey with a players number because they come and go. I got a Russell jersey because I know if he were to ever leave he'd still be an awesome person and it would be an honor to have his number. GO HAWKS!!

  • RockGirl - 10 years ago

Come on! Somebody gotta vote for Mr Beats! But of course I'm biased, will always be voting for Mr Wilson. Wiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllsssssssssssssssssssssssssson!

  • Amy - 10 years ago

Krapperdick is classless. I hope his brother, Squidward from Spongebob, is there to cheer him on!!!! HAWKS!!!!!!

  • John - 10 years ago

Smart player, humble person, better man. Russell Wilson.

  • Knutzcase - 10 years ago

Emily- Because sexiness is super important in winning a Superbowl. Ugh. I fear for our future.
Wilson: Smarter on and off the field. Hard worker, personable, always striving to learn and do better. He is far from his potential and will be a top MVP candidate when he reaches that potential.

  • Halle - 10 years ago

Wilson - High IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and more importantly a high CQ (Character Quotient) A humble and yet a driven man, who knows who he is as a man, as a husband and as a football player. Quality character meshed with incredible athletic ability is what I would want on my team, every time.

  • Casey - 10 years ago

Can't stand Mr bicep kisser... so full of himself... Russell all the way!

  • Ashley - 10 years ago

WILSON ALL THE WAY!!! GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!

  • Bot45 - 10 years ago

Anyone voting for a complete douche like Krapperdick needs to jump off a cliff and save the rest of humanity from your idiocy.

  • emily - 10 years ago

colin is the sexist man alive... like ever!!!!!!!!!!!
