JSU had a chance to hire a young, up and coming coach who will energize the fan base not the retirement home...68 year old coach who hasnt coach college kids since 2006, he hasn't been a coach on a winning program ever in his career, this small minded thinking will back fire with Jackson State.. And who says that we are going to recruit Mississippi, do u realize Jackson State has interest from kids all over the South. You have just gave coaches from other programs an edge by saying that JSU only wants kids from Mississippi smh recruiting is a nationwide game not a local one. Also does any one know what his offensive/defensive philosophy are? only time will tell if this is a good hire but it looks bad on paper!

what does the number of students at those institutions have to due with this hire? student population varies year to year at all hbcu's so again whats the point your trying to make? Texas Southern has the highest student enrollment in the swac! HA! he was hired because of his list of contacts! that makes about as much sense as grabbing a large antenna and standing in a field of lighting and being surprised that the lightning hit your silly @ss!

My last comment.......Take a look at the Athletic director and the President. They are methodical in the moves that they are making. Do you think that they would jeopardize their momentum by hiring a coach without the names of his entire coaching staff. New dome stadium owned by JSU in 2017.

WOW!! Do you really think that he will be coaching the team? Anybody who has been around professional sports or in any type of leadership position understands that you have to surround yourself with talent and be secure in who you are as a leader. Do you understand the caliber of people Harold has in his contact list. Comegy didn't understand the need to have an outstanding offensive or defensive coordinator and thus the results. How many students does Southern have? Alcorn? Valley? JSU is on a different level.

Preparation and adaptation are two words that we need to learn or we will become extinct. How much have you donated back to JSU? Athletics is a business and this is the first part of rebuilding a strong financial fan base in order to survive. Look at the other SWAC Teams who will be extinct within the next 5-10 years because of ignorance. Own something and you'll understand.
