I'm interested in the songs and stuff, but dislike that we're getting more of this instead of a real pony movie. They'll get to it eventually, right?

I find it interesting that, after all of the outrage over Equestria Girls (I personally didn't like it, but didn't see the point in all of the ire over it), a sizable majority want to see the sequel, while relatively few people are getting their knickers in a twist over it. Maybe the people who hated EG were just a vocal minority -- certainly, most of the people I know had the same opinion of it as me -- not terrible, but not something I'd watch a second time either. I'll watch EG2 when it comes out on Netflix, but I'm probably not going to see it in theatres or buy the DVD unless it turns out to actually be good.
Just like with Season 4, I vote to add "Hide Equestria Girls 2 Posts" to the Equestria Daily settings.
When I saw Equestria Girls the first time, and I mean the "whole" version (Not the one they show on The Hub where a handful of scenes are cut out for some reason), I thought it was... Okay. It wasn't one of the strongest MLP movies I've ever seen, but I won't go as far to say it was a weak film. It had the same characters (Only human), the music was catchy, and with so much cameos that reflect on the entire Brony community it has some decent highs. Yet, at the same time, it did not escape the fact the movie had a mediocre ending, the "romance" between Twilight and Flash was weak, and basically it was definitely the typical high-school drama film you could see on any network. While I can honestly expect this sequel to be a another one of those movies, there is a slight chance this film might prove itself better than the first as far as music-wise but what I really hope for are two things I keep a special close eye on: Great storytelling and unforgettable characters. Otherwise, I will at least be willing enough to give this film a chance so... Break a leg.

Only interested in this one. It seems the "super forms" either are gonna show up more frequently or they sorta gave away one of the last scenes. Either way, I don't see how it makes sense to use them this time (storyline-wise) unless they have to use the power of music to save the day.

Dat Vinyl Scratch dance, tho! This looks utterly amazing. Also hilarious how the 10% of EqG haters just blather on and on like they're the majority here. I drove 3 hours (one way) to see Equestria Girls, met other Bronies for the first time ever, and it was amazing. I'll do what I can to see this one legally, as well. I'll just have my fun watching an amazing movie for little girls while you vent and rage while no one cares. Have fun! 'Cause I sure will.
