The Godess of figure skating came down and became the Queen with getting the Gold medal and zolo. 4 years later the silver medal missed her so much, and she decided to get it with the shining light of the gold and zoly for a long time.
Russia just wanted one more gold whether it is shining or not.

My girlfriend used to be a great figure skater and we both think that Yuna Kim has been robbed that day. Yuna has done a flawless run at the Olympics just like Vancouver whereas the Russian figure skater who has made a few mistakes during her last run. The fluidity of Yuna`s maneuvers, , the quality of her executions, the landings were unquestionable. Actually, she was making one with the ice. I'm not the only one to question the decision but Russians needed a hero that day especially after the elimination of the men`s hockey team against Finland. Unfortunately , like I just said, the Russians nation needed a winner, a hero at the expense of the lovely Yuna Kim. What a shame! However the people know who`s the true champion.

American viewpoint.. Yuna Kim skated the best of the best tonight. While Adelina skated well and hit all her jumps and technical elements - her skating overall wasn't anywhere up to that of Yuna Kim. While Adelina scored much higher on technical she should not have been even close on all the other elements. Yuna still should have had the advantage even with Adelina winning the technicals. The scoring is suspect. Katarina Witt was even surprised by results. She saw Yuna taking her place with her as 2x gold medalist.
Personal preferences: So.Korea Gold, Italy Silver, Japan (Mao Asada) Bronze. Love a skater with grace first, power second.
Love that Davis and White won gold! Would have been o.k. with Moir and Virtue as well - 4 great skaters!
Pairs both Russian couples were phenominal!
Men's skating was the biggest disappointment of the Olympics - boring, lackluster. Jason Brown and Kevin Reynolds were the only sparks. Gold and Silver medalist - no WOW factors!
