A.There’s a lot of money involved here, potentially. It would look bad for BtoB to award funding to an investor that knows the applicant so closely. In a small market though, you tend to find potential conflicts all the time.

B.This is more of the same – the mining sector is full of these conflicts and the root of it all is money. The pressure to make money is powerful and often clouds people’s judgement even if they’re making a decision that’s clearly wrong. Because of this I think there are problems with how closely the government regulates this sector – the laws around conflicts are too lax. BtoB is taking advantage of shoddy practices & my prediction is it will come back to haunt them.

C.BtoB is in a tough situation here – it needs the investors to choose between two competing products and both look very promising. Minescan is an IT platform that helps find mineral deposits, and ProSuccess is a procurement solution. So it’s good that PTwhy has someone from the Minerals Department.
