Well, it looks like Microsoft better get their head out of the sand and pretty quick before they suffocate and, so they can hear what THEIR VERY OWN CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING!!
It really is just unbelievable that Microsoft can be so pig headed about their operating systems!
Lets really hope they are quietly taking notice and will bring out a proper PC desktop operating system again.
I would simply hate using a large desktop touch screen, as I have enough trouble now with arm ache etc, without reaching out to a desktop touch screen. Windows 8/8.1 ok for hand held tablets and the like which are a lot different in the way they are used/controlled than a desktop PC.
No, I'm not in any hurry to use Win 8/8.1 on my desktops, although I do have it on a Samsung phone and get on ok with it.

I'll go one step farther and say that I wouldn't use it if they paid me............unless it was a lot. A whole lot. I tried it, loathed it, and went back to Windows 7. I liked the unpopular Vista better than Windows 8. If I want the Windows 8 experience, I will turn on my tablet. I have news for Microsoft, a laptop and a tablet aren't the same thing. If that is the best they can do, I won't bother with buying any more laptops, I will use a tablet. Oh and make that a tablet with an Android system.......not Microsoft.

I use Windows 8.1 for home use and not for any business reasons so to me it works OK.
I have already moved on...to Chrome
