For the PQ to lose then the votes should go all to the Liberal party!! Do not waste a vote on the CAQ!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!

In regards to the people addressing the sovereignty issue. Many Quebec citizens are not aware that the PQ even with a majority vote, cannot separate from Quebec without the permission from the Natives. In order for Quebec to separate, the PQ government will need to make some kind of an agreement with the Natives and the agreement will have to be well worth it for them. Please remember this. So don't freak out just yet. Quebec's future as a province in Canada is not as threatened as many citizens may believe it is. The future of this province remaining in Canada lies in the Natives hands and no one else's.

As for t he majority vote, i voted "no" but to be very honest, it's not what i believe. Separation or not, as long as this crazed woman is still at the helm, Quebec's economy will undoubtedly suffer along with the threat towards the use of the English language. That's scary stuff.

I was very surprised by the large percentage saying no. Is this wishful thinking?

I'm very confused with the expression "Majority Government". I was, and still am under the impression that a majority government is or should be an elected government where the winner has more votes than the 2 (or one only) runner up parties combined, i.e. :Party A: 46%; party B: 29%, and party C: 25%, (where party A is the winner) ! In fact, this is the ONLY occasion I've seen such a confusing information about what a Majority Government is or should be. Yes, I think the P.Cul will be re-elected, but by a margin of 3% over the Liberals. And the P.Cul is, as always, expecting the votes from the people on the Welfare, the illiterate ones AND the Haitian immigrants. One can see the degree on "instruction" from the P.Cul apostles just by reading (or trying to) their written comments on the Facebook.

I have a bad feeling that I should pack my bags and move to other provinces.
I don't see enough maturity in Quebecers to understand what will happen if they got separated.

With the lies from the last election and calling an election now, I think people should realize that we are not going anywhere with the PQ. Bottom line, they want to separate from Canada. She has the province divided over language? That is discrimination I believe! And how about the big money that was ousted out of here over this?
About the coming election...would the reason be to stay clear of the Charbonneau commission? If she was innocent she certainly would affront the commission head on.
Who founded this province? French and English...now that is real history......NOT the PQ...that is our doom!

Considering everything the PQ have done and said in the past year - it is difficult to believe that they should win a majority of the vote in Quebec. However, also considering some of the comments from Quebecois-Quebecoise , whether it be in the French Press or the man/woman in the street - it is possible. I hope not. I would hope that people, French, English, other would see the difference between a Drainville-Lisee-Marois platform and a Levesque platform. But if not, it will be an easily duped and scared small town provincial thinking driven by opportunistic big city bullies who will have power at any cost- even the ruin of Quebec and and irresponsible press feeding the fear of Islam that will have won the day. We do not want to get into a situation where civil disobedience is the rule and we end up like Ukraine. Let's hope that the election will bring out the best in people.

Ihope they lose so bad that they back bencher with only 2 seats

I think everyone who voted NO on this poll did so as wishful thinking. I hope to hell the PQ don't win a majority, but I have a bad feeling about this election and life has taught me over the past 55 years to always trust my instincts.

If she wins, everyone is screwed.

  • Caroline - 10 years ago

NOOOOO F%@&G WAY!!!!!!! If it is the case, I am moving away from here!!!!

  • Paul Shtogryn - 10 years ago

I'm surprised that 82% said No.I was also surprised by the question in which said should Quebec be sovereign and 18% said Yes & 77% said No.Do the same in Quebec with FB as in Calgary when they elected a Muslim mayor mostly done by young people in his case being elected mayor but if enough people are co0ncerned about Quebec it will work the same.

  • Peter M Black - 10 years ago

I voted and see (at present) that 83% say no, just like I did and I hope we're right. Sadly, they probably won't give up and won't go away though - just like a bad rash, they keep coming back!
