Why is it always the BLACK people claiming racism? There is a lot more going on in the world than to worry about Chief Wahoo. Get over it.

The fact that well over 90% of people want to keep the mascot the same as it has been for many YEARS, shows that getting rid of it would cause even more outrage than the people that it offends currently. The people that think it's "racist" need to suck it up and knock it off. If it were racist and offensive, why would we want it representing a team that we cheer on every single year and plaster all over our clothing?? We're rooting for the Indians, not making fun of them and hoping they fail. Peoples' philosophies on things like this drive me nuts. I guarantee if they ban the mascot, more people than ever will wear Chief Wahoo gear. Just like how 90% of people I know still call Progressive Field, The Jake without even thinking; Chief Wahoo isn't going anywhere anytime soon. At least not without a very long fight.

I am part Wyandot Indian. CHEIF Wahoo is the most awesome logo. In my opinion, using the American Indian heritage for a professional sports team is a tribute to the strength of the American Indian!!!! I hope all American Indians can appreciate this tremendous tribute.
