I was born and raised in Britain. Visited the Queen Mary last Sept. and again this last Feb. Visited the Tea room each time. Have been to many tea room in England and Wales. The Princess Diana Tea Room in the Queen Mary is my favorite of all the ones I have visited.

I was on the Queen Mary last month for a girls' overnighter, our rooms where in step with the QM era, cosy and delightful. The QM has had English royalty walk its decks and hallways in the past. The QM exudes history and glamour. Not only did I feel I stepped back in time but we had the chance to view the Diana exhibit. It was fun to view the dresses worn by both Diana and Kate Middleton and reread historic facts we already knew. The cherry on the cake was finishing with tea facing the water and city views. Now on to the actual tea...this foodie and her mates absolutely LOVED both the different teas and sandwiches. We were so full we had to take our desserts with us. The sandwiches were tiny the way I love them and should be bite sized and full of such flavor, extremely lady like with high foodie value. My hats off to the chef!! When something is so good you don't need a whopper size. Our waiter was so helpful, he is pictured in the video here. So fun. I have been on the QM at least 5 times in the past for different reasons all so memorable. I have had hi tea at the upscale hotels in London... the QM would even rival even those.

I've been going to Rose Tree Cottage for probably forty years now. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
Not only is the tea itself perfect in every way, but the owners, Mary and Edmond are probably the
dearest couple I'v ever known. You certainly do feel like you are in England, especially when you get into
a conversation with Edmond, then you know you are in England. I have to comment on the scones.
They are truly the best I've ever had. Everything is done in the most elegant English way.
My FAVORITE tea room in the whole of LA! Makes you feel right at home. Love it there!! xxx

British elegance and charm. Fresh and tasty, daily made scones, with the freshest finger sandwiches. Caring and professional service. You feel welcomed and want to be back over and over. Plus, a lovely shopping corner with all the home made goodies, and the Barbour fashion items
