Yes, so President Obama has time to appoint another liberal to the court before his term is up and the Democrats possibly lose the presidency in 2016.
Not unless she wants to. To leave the court only so the president can appoint another liberal would show that she’s just a political tool.
Yes. Even justices can be political, as former Justice John Paul Stevens said. Also, her health isn’t the best, considering she has survived cancer and broken ribs.
No. The only reason she should retire is because she’s not up to the job. She’s got all her faculties, so she should stay.
