Would you ever consider installing a dash cam in your car?

Our two cars have been equipped with dash cameras for the past three years. These have come in very useful on at least two occasions. 1.) A neighbour pulled a stunt on me by pulling onto the road as I drove up the street, then he called the police and complained that I had cut him off. Little did he know, my camera caught the entire incident, speed and all. I offered the video to the officer, but the officer declined as I think the officer knew the other driver was just doing me a "pay-back" because someone in the neighbourhood called the police earlier because he (neighbour) was flying his drone helicopter with a camera attached over the neighbourhood filming people in their hot-tubs and pools.
Most recently, my wife had a collision as another car pulled out from a stop sign into her path. The other driver did not report this to their insurance, and are being evasive... based on the video, my insurance has waived my deductible on the repairs and the rental car is paid for in advance, along with my wife being listed as "not at fault"...all based on the video.............just buy yourself a good camera. We have two DOD-Tech cameras, available from Staples.....p.s. don't buy a cheap camera, the DOD-Techs are worth every penny.
