The only reason I would want the CMC getting their marks is if it was the final season, and only in the finale or close to it. The CMC connect with a lot of people because they don't have their marks and their place in the world. They would lose a lot of who they are if they got their marks (Ironically).
An epic snowball battle though? Sign me up, I would love a completely off the wall, war-themed snowball fight between Celestias Army (with Twilight, Dash, and Fluttershy) vs Luna's NLR (With Rarity, Applejack, and Pinkie). That would be an episode for the ages.

I'm all for seeing Sweetie Belle, Applebloom and Scootaloo (she is not a chicken!) get their CMs; and when I checked the results, I would like to have seen the top three @ the time of my vote (CMC get their CMs; StarSwirl's history [just like the two latest IDW comics] and Scootaloo's backstory). BTW, wouldn't it be wild if, somehow, Scootaloo is distantly related to her idol Rainbow dash and/or Fluttershy?

It's polls like this where I certainly wish I could vote for more than one option. Because looking at this list, I actually really want to see most of these choices happen: A more credible look into Dragon culture (Seeing as how I was a fan of Saphira than those teenage Dragons), as well as a close look on the Griffins and Star Swirl the Bearded, and while we've yet to see Apple Bloom have her dream sequence thing with Luna, I'm curious as to whether Scootaloo has family or why we never see them (Then again I should point out we've never seen Fluttershy's family either). But if I had to choose only "one" choice (Seriously these poll things should really be updated with more choices), I'm going to be one of those people who actually want to see the CMC get their Cutie Marks. If I can just imagine how they'd get it, I could picture a long awaited "reprisal" of that song they did way back in the first season only this time with Sweetie Belle overcoming her fear of singing in front of a large crowd (Though she certainly wasn't intimidated with either acting in her play or singing in front of her friends), Scootaloo on choreography especially with her scooter, and Apple Bloom on set design because it's obvious what they were good at since Day One. And like everyone else, just because they get their Cutie Marks doesn't mean they should disband as they should use their experience to help fillies who have yet to earn their Cutie Marks through a slow mature process to serve as future role models. Though someday if these polls can update with an option to at least vote for half the choices, that would definitely be easier for people who have a difficult time "choosing" like I do.

I would love to see the CMC finally get their marks. I would like it spread throughout the season, and when they have their marks, they don't disband the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Instead, they keep going, helping other blank flanks earn their cutie marks (the first pony to benefit from this service would be whichever of the CMC gets their mark last).
And apparently using more than one paragraph is not an option here. Anyways, I would really like to see the CMC get their marks, although I can see that the writers might not know what to do with three characters whose motivation for four years has suddenly evaporated. I think another good question would be "should the CMC all get their marks in the same episode?" It could lead to some emotional moments when two of them have to comfort the other on being the last to get their mark.

@FableCharm: It looks like the Starswirl history is in issue 17-20; I've only read up to issue 16 which was the latest issue in the epic sale a couple of months ago. We've certainly had our share of pirate ponies, although I doubt that the Hoofbeard arc really contained enough seaponies to sate the thirst of the bronies voting for those. As for "lots-of-Luna"; can one ever have enough of Best Princess?

Twilight - Mother, Father, Shining Armor (and through him, Cadance, and technically, Celestia and Luna are related to Twilight through the marriage as well)
Applejack - Come on, almost every Applejack episode focuses on her family, which apparently breeds faster than rabbits.
Pinkie Pie - Maud, and her other 2 sisters, as well as her Mother and Father
Rarity - Sweetie Belle, and also mother and father

Personally, I think it would be a clever idea if Babs gets her mark first, since she is also a CMC and isn't as major a character as the others (only appearing in 2 episodes to date), which would better motivate the others to getting their own finally.

I think more Bronies should read the IDW comics. We already have StarSwirl the Bearded History, Lots-of-Luna, Oceans/Beaches/Pirate Ponies, AND Seaponies in the comics! We even get a canon Celestia x [spoilers redacted] love story! Also, everything in the comics (and novels) are canon according to all the show writers, comic writers, and GM Barrow!
I definitely believe the comics will continue the MLP universe after the show ends. Honestly, the amount of world-building and character development happening in the comics, especially during the current "Reflections" arc, is amazing and is exactly the kind of thing many Bronies keep asking for from the show.
