Many great players in HoCo, and most not even on this list.
How about a Fan LEAST Favorite:
Mine is the 3A/2A State Semi Final and Final that both went to a running clock. Did they charge admission for those games? With a little effort we can do a better job of seeding the brackets to make the final games meaningful.
Sorry my Granddaughter did not win. She remains a great lacrosse player. I am very proud of her.

I'm thinking the fan favorite is not a good idea, sad to read these nasty comments....as we all know all of these voting things/even teams made etc tend to be a joke and you can't get worked up! Player of the year is very subjective.. each year it could go to many especially over past years, lots of talent and an argument for all. Be happy that Howard county has so many amazing lacrosse players and have lots of choices in where they want to carry on their career...so don't let that taint your thoughts either; there are lots of variables that going into a players decision on where they go ..offers, size of school, location, the lists goes on and on. AT the end of the day there is never just one player of the year and if you really know the sport that you would get that....
Saying some one deserves something just because they were on a team that won a state championship is like saying the Thompson Brothers, Miles and Lyle, don't deserve the Tewaaraton Award because Albany didn't win the NCAA championship... come on! I think some people need to take a step back and remember these are high school girls, who are all talented and all deserve this award...just RELAX

The last two comments are absolutely correct. You can support someone WITHOUT putting others down. This is a FANS choice. I doubt anything that anyone says on here is going to persuade someone to change their vote. The fans want this not only for their classmate/teammate, for their school as well, and there is nothing wrong with that. All of these players are on here for a reason...they deserve to be. So STOP trashing the other players and START supporting each other! These and many other players are what make Howard County such a power house in lacrosse. They have all worked hard and are ALL deserving.
You all are being mean. A state championship is the entire team and not one player! It doesn't matter where Taylor is accepted and you also don't know if the other players stopped scoring too or helped the team. Don't comment on if someone is humble or how good they are. when you don't know them. If you guys think just a senior should win and not the junior or sophomore then think it but don't trash other athletes Anyone who loves the sport respects all the good players. It is just a fan vote POY. Settle down MRHS people. I'm at another sport and you sound like Taylor is the only one who did anything. We all play hard.

The kids want the student at their school to win so that's why its a fan choice. Your grand daughter is lovely and talented and still may win the actual player of the year. This is just the fan choice one. all the girls are talented. Taylor to Loyola, Collin to Navy, Meaghan to Loyola and much more. It's the fans that want to see the player they care about get ahead. They all may be deserving and all are pretty good or they would not be in this poll. Sit tight and wait for this news and know that the comments are just kids like your grand daughter who want to cheer on their school and person. Its all in fun. Grayson Corbett is my Granddaughter and has scored 14 goals in one game and will be attending Hofstra starting in August. She plays hard and deserves to win this poll. She is beautiful, humble, respectful,caring, smart and all the good adjectives that will describe her. She calls me MaMa and I am her Grandmother. Her Grandfather, Cleveland Corbett has attended all of her games and one of her biggest fans. We love you Grayson. We were so happy to see you graduate with so many honors. We are going to miss seeing you just about every day. After graduation we had so much fun at Copeland's.

Taylor deserves it. It's not about how many goals you score. Some of the best players of all time were not scorers but team players. Taylor could have scored 25 against Oakland mills or wild lake. But she Did not she got ground balls assists and played good defense . This is about the best player not about the player who is a one man show

Taylor got accepted to MARYLAND university her sophomore year for lacrosse to me she's an outstanding team mate and she always tells her to team to work hard and pumps them up and I'm pretty sure they just won't states once again am I right?

Every one of these players did an amazing job this year! Sophomore or senior and juniors too. I know Meaghan Quinn and my vote is for her because she wants every person on her team to do well. She is works hard at the sport and is humble. This is a fan vote and anyone can win the POY. I bet the players respect the other 4 on the field. You all should do the same. They are all stand out players and a true POY wins for the team and with the team. Its not an individual sport.
