Heartbeat: Obesity and Physical Attraction

If you could flash forward 20 years, you would see a NEW way of thinking about "attraction". I used to be more visual, and was with the hot ones, and then I grew up, saw that a good heart will always outweigh a heavier body, and if I HAVE A CONNECTION, THAT IS WHAT MATTERS. People are shallow, because they are taught to be, by society, by magazines, by Photo-Shopped Models, who don't look like that in real life! Learn at your young age, that wonderful personality? That is where true closeness and attraction resides, unless you are so shallow, you only see an exterior. It's so unfair to wish J were thinner, so you could be attracted to her. Maybe she wishes you were less visual, so she could respect you!

It is easier to lose weight than to gain intelligence and good humor. Believe me, in the long run it is more important to be with someone you enjoy and respect than someone who turns you on only physically.

It doesn't matter WHY you don't find her attractive, the thing is, YOU DON'T. There's not a lot you can tastefully do to change that, and it's only going to get more complicated as time goes on. You are doing no favors by dragging this out.
