Do you feel comfortable with the idea of negotiating prices at a car dealership?

Many dealerships will charge a document fee, usually costing hundreds of dollars. There is never any mention of this until after the sale when the paperwork is being signed buy the customer. This is no more than a sneaky way to tack on an additional dealer markup. The dealer will explain that he is required by law to store records of his sales for several years and that this costs him administrative and storage expenses. All this is pure bulls**t! Tell the dealer that any expenses he incurs selling his cars is HIS cost of doing business, not yours. Don't fall for this crap, and don't pay a cent for it! And be willing to walk if he stands his ground. It's a scam.
