NEPTUNALIA - (Suggested by Aromaleigh) Another Roman theme- "Neptunalia" was celebrated on July 23rd. This was a festival to Neptune, and in Rome, it was celebrated alongside the Tiber. It was a festival in the highest heat of the summer. I don't see it as a straight blue of green toned shadow, but rather as a satin finish teal blue-green with a strong metallic copper/flame duochrome to represent the heat of the summer. 27% (29 votes)
EMMELINE - (Suggested by Kiaza Fillmore-Chadwick) "14 July 1858, Birthday of Emmeline Pankhurst, English suffragette who suffered imprisonment in order to gain the vote for women." Maybe a color to commemorate the suffrage movement? Their colors were Green White and Violet (Give women votes) which would probably make a really cool color! 24% (26 votes)
THUNDER MOON - (Suggested by Jolie Kwong) Because of all the summer storms. I'd like to suggest a dark blurple (blue/purple) with a silver sheen & gold sparkles - blurple for the color of the sky during a storm, silver sheen for the moon, and gold sparkles for lightning. 21% (22 votes)
MOONLIGHT DESTINY- (Suggested by Christina Williams) in honor of the July 5th, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal reboot, I offer up: Moonlight Destiny - a dreamy, moonlit grey (more dove than silver) with a midnight blue duochrome. Lightly sprinkled with regal gold and powerful pink sparks. 18% (19 votes)
POPLIFUGIA - (Suggested by Aromaleigh) In keeping with some of the past colors this year being Roman themed, I'd like to suggest "Poplifugia" a Roman festival celebrated on the 5th July, it was sacred to Jupiter, whose color was symbolically white, to represent daylight. His priests wore white, animals sacrificed to him were white and his chariot horses were white. I see this color as being a satin finish white with a metallic old gold highlight, and delicate microshimmer of blue. (White for the clouds, gold for the sun, and blue for the color of the sky) 10% (11 votes)
