Kobe is from the Jordan era. Winning and passion for the game. Jordan followed and played in the Magic,Bird era of winning and passion. If there is any blame its the Buss family. They gave Kobe the fat contract when his it didn't expire until June 30.Jim Buss sold Phil out and hired a joke. Why are we still holding on to Nash. Blame the family,Lakers have no leader since Jerry Buds passed.
When was the last time you saw a player in the NBA show emotion to get the job done . As you stated there are very few who take that memtality to the game. To have played the game on different levels I love witnessing a player such as Kobe, Noah and Wade compete in everything they play.body be dammed I'ii see you next time and I respect you but I'm coming for you! Not only do I expect to win I expect to get use to winning. So Mitch are we merley fielding a team to compete or is it purely business? If it is the later, then can anyone actually blame Kobe or Nash for their business decisions? If it is just to compete then can you blame Kobe for his wanting to win or his mental toughness? It is so easy to blame if you have mot been in that place. I dont care what level of sport you may have played , you never went into a game just to compete! You went into it to win. The buss family use to have that attitude and I think Kobe must be frustrated as hell that they now hide who they once were. Blame management. If you don't know what you are doing then get out of business. He's a player. You know he needs help and when you sign Nash and Howard who is not use to the big stage and can't handle the pressure.
