Too bad there was no mention the 30+ years of business experience which I have. The fact that I helped initiate and develop a municipal -profitable skate park and was involved locally in effecting ordinance changes , worked with the Boca Helping Hands , was involved in election campaigns for council members who are now City of Boca Raton Mayor and Palm Beach County Commissioner.
I stated that I support sober homes - single family, privately owned transitional residences that are midway between detox/inpatient treatment and re-entry into regular life. Calling a detox/rehab a sober house or home is , I believe misleading to the public.
It is a slippery slope when negotiating in this arena as the lawsuits that may result will be devastating to the taxpayer. Better to pro-actively find at least semi-palatable alternatives in a less adversarial way.
Thats why in March of this year the City Council voted (Ms. Martin absent) to proceed with the Torino project.
Better for the public to be well and fact based informed instead of just being given sort-of partial information data for sensationalism.
