Just read your article on 7A re top ranking-to lowest ranking schools in Springfield and talk about a shock! The low percentage of students who scored proficient. The elementary high of only 64.3% and low of 12.9% in reading. 70.5% to 18.8% in mathematics. Way too low, scary low. Yet when you have a gifted student it is nearly impossible to get them into an advanced program. Something has to give SPS, and I hope our new superintendent can help w this conundrum!

It seems that the wasting of $600,000+ dollars on plans that are abandoned and lost, then another similar amount will be spent in future for another plan; has been also abandoned by the press! Yes, things could be better.
