Smoking should be restricted as it sympathizes young children to future tobacco use - in their teens. The most at risk are low self esteem young boys. No smoking cartoon characters ( Rango) no smoking scientists ( Avatar) no smoking period. No passive smokng , no glamorized smoking, no normalized smoking, how about no smoking period and that includes e-cigarettes. Tobacco is a gateway to marijuana and marijuana is a gateway to tobacco - sad fact but true.

Vote Yes - think Joe Camel - and all the other devices used to get kids into tobacco - of course movies should be rated if they play any role in normalizing the use of killer tobacco products - the most lethal legal product on the market - Vote Yes.

Physicians for a Smoke Free Canada commissioned a report - Tobacco Vector which showed clearly that
43% of kids get hooked on tobacco products through the influence of films depicting smoking. The relation
of smoking in movies and uptake of tobacco products was documented in the 2012 Surgeon General's Report and countless other studies - smoking in movies is a very irresponsible thing to be doing - why would anyone want to participate in advancing the tobacco industry when we know the damage it causes ? Tobacco products remain the number one cause of premature death and in this century will claim one billion lives and we are seriously seeing a poll here that is not being supported to make an impact on reducing smoking rates - !!! Get on the page of tobacco prevention - Santa stopped smoking in 2012 and has never been healthier and it is time movie stars did their part in saving lives. Twas4kids

Kids don't always do what they see. Good parenting supercedes all of the crap that is on the internet and tv.
