Should South Florida — 24 counties south of the Interstate 4 corridor — secede from the northern part of the state?

Please, by all means let's drop the vestigial panhandle. I would love to cut loose the hayseed retards up there and they can take Rick Scott, Pam Bondi and the rest of their ilk. I'd hate to see them waddling around in their own crapulence of gutted schools, no tax base, and corporate-owned everything but better that than them dragging us down with them. We'll stay on our side, you just stay the hell up there!

The proposal would have over two thirds of the population (and even higher tax base) in South FL.
Only the Jax metro area would be in the North; Tampa, Ft L, Miami and Orlando in the South. - as well as the most desirable waterfront property.from the Space Coast round to Hillsborough County..

well of course a Republican would not want this as it would almost indefinatly be a blue controlled South FL. but thats what the MAJORITY in South FL want... north and South FL are very different places with very different problems. That really deserve their own Govt that is focused on their problems. and I disagree Vero/SL/Mart are much more South Fl than than they are north as far as issues, the only difference is the Wealthy hardcore Teaparty presence that congregates those counties... who's answer is to build a wall I see... lol. but hey Don't gets your panties in a bind, despite the majority feeling this is a good idea and the fact it most likely is... it won't happen.. the red is in charge and anything that goes against what they want is blocked. been that way for the last 4 years. so don't break out those racist bricks and hate-filled morter to start building that wall, your poor will stay poor here in Fl, you won't have to rub elbows with any of them because your voted have secured the fact they have no chance for a better life... but you know thats reserved for the already wealthy that grew that way on the backs of others.

South Florida should secede but not include Martin, St. Lucie or Indian River counties. They should build a wall so their crime, overdevelopment, congestion, illegal immigration, and pollution stayed to the south. The wall should be very high.

Hmm why not just suggest the South Miami commissioner succeed his head from his arse instead. Besides why punish the rest of the state, up to I-4, for what issues they have down in Miami. I don't want any kind of association with that area so just divide it at the Palm Beach county line and call it DONE.
