Oak Lawn in Dallas of course. New apts and condos going up every month. Area has come a long way. In the heart of Dallas. It's close to everything you can think of ....uptown...turtle creek..downtown...airports...parks...great shopping centers...great block parties...Sunday fun day happy hour hang ours. Great restaurants...etc....its the best in the south!!!
My favorite zip code to live in is 10019. Moved in in 1991. Left for a bit and now I am back. Hell's Kitchen, NYC! Come and visit, you will want to stay.

I've lived in midtown Atlanta for a decade and love it. But when I came here to vote, I had to go for Capitol Hill in Seattle. Hands-down that's the most inclusive mixture of bars, restaurants, retail, business, community organizations and residential that I've ever experienced. It's as diverse as anyone could imagine or wish for AND it's safe.

Oak Lawn in Dallas is very impressive. Super gay friendly area that's expansive, especially given the fact that it's in the SOUTH! Easy to have a big area in SF for gays; not so in a religious-restrictive red state like Texas! But it's a great place to visit or live in and it's gotten so much safer in the last five years. Dallas PD is doing a great job and the area keeps growing with new condos/apartments going up every month.

I agree with Aaron! Everything he said is correct. There are new businesses opening on the strip that is re-making a well established gayborhood even better. Don't forget the new place, Cedar Springs Tap House. Go Oak Lawn!
Oaklawn on Cedar Springs in Dallas is for sure the biggest. We have a living community over a 14 city block radius which includes the all new Illume and the historic Melrose Hotel. With over 6 City blocks of entertainment in the middle of the community with historic bars such as JR's Bar and Grill and TMC to the Huge night clubs like Station 4 and the amazing food from Hunkys and Thairiffic,! There are tons of GLBT shops, restaurants, bars, night clubs, and living quarters for anyone who want's to vacation to Dallas!
Oaklawn boasts one of the Largest halloween Street party in the USA the Saturday before every Halloween. With people from multiple states, the streets are filled with over 65,000 people!
Pride week in Dallas doesn't fall short of the Block Party. We host one of the largest prides in Texas, with a parade that Spans over 12 City blocks and ends with a public party in Lee Park!
If you like the French Quarter in New Orleans, you will absolutely fall in love with Oak Lawn!!

I believe Portland, OR, all of it, is the best!
Midtown Atlanta is where the boys come out to play.
