Yes, I agree with Calgary MLA Moe Amery that fines should increase to $250 and distracted drivers should forfeit three demerits because of the danger they post to others

No, I think the $170 fine is high enough

It doesn't matter, I think people are going to talk on their cellphones while driving no matter how much the fines go up

The only way these idiots are going to get the message is when their vehicle is impounded on the spot to be be released in 24 hours. Fine + towing charge + demerits + notification to insurance company. PL
