It is ludicrous to blame the Mayor for the killings of the policemen by a deranged individual. He responded as would any elected official in America. The Police response is indicative of a general attitude of indifference to the behavior of members of the police forces in the United States. These forces resemble occupying armies and not servants of the people. The siege mentality of the police forces bodes ill for the rest of us. The police forces appear to be fascist in theory and practice. We will ultimately be forced to deal with the systemic injustice of this fascist system. They forget one simple fact. There are more of us than them.
