To say X happened is not the same as to say that X *ought* to happen.

If I were a victim of crime it would be silly of me to deny this because I am trying to make the point that crime is wrong, wouldn't it?

To acknowledge that I was a victim of crime would not be tantamount to admitting that everyone including myself ought to be victims of crime, does it?

Just because you want to deny that X ought to happen does not mean that you should deny that X did in fact happen.

So much intellectual dishonesty on this thread. It is intellectually crippling, is it not?

There can only be one correct answer to this question and whether you think the terrorists were justified in doing what they did is in fact irrelevant.

Whether or not you think the terrorists were justified in doing what they did, the fact remains that the terrorists said Charlie Hebdo provoked them, and no one is denying that, however much they condemn this act of terrorism.
