It would be so wonderful with all of the diabetes in the world, children who are Type1 and Adults, Type 2, if the company would come up with sugar free Thin Mints and other flavors. Diabetic have a better choices now with research and better diets, but still need to diligent about diet and deserts. It would be wonderful to have sugar free thin mints so a diabetic person could be included in the joy that comes with knowing and enjoying "Girl Scout Cookie Time" which everyone looks forward to. It's a happy time when those thin mints and other cookies are delivered and everyone looks forward to that special time of year! As a mother of a child diabetic, Type 1, it has been painful to watch my child do without the treats and foods that a child without diabetes can enjoy without the worry of medical disadvantages. It takes some of the enjoyment away from the foods they love and enjoy. I know Thin Mints was a favorite of my daughters' and she was unable to enjoy them when she was diagnosed with childhood diabetes in the 80s. Things have come a long way since then and it would mean so much to have Girl Scout cookies that she and others could enjoy like everyone else. We love the Girl Scouts and the delicious cookies. Just a thought that comes around every time it's cookie time. Thanks for the opportunity to voice the thoughts of a family member of a diabetic.
