To Program Director,
I am a pianist and audiophile and been into music for 40yrs. What Tom Power plays in the morning is horrible. Lousy songs with no memorable melodies sung by unknowns, is a bad formula. I would never play these tunes on my piano because they are not even pleasant. Any record store would have very low sales (if any) of this music and that says everything !
Just because you are paid by the government and have no sponsors does not mean you have a right to play this sad depressing funeral march music. Canada has some great musicians, but you play the unknowns only. Why ? (They are unknowns because nobody wants them !)
You do not give the option, when we vote on your website, to vote against all your programming. Why ?
And why do you keep playing the songs that only have 1% support. Voting is a waste of time as you do not act on your own surveys, you ignore the voting.
This is not a question of taste.
There is such a thing as bad music. You're playing it. Music is bad when the tune cannot be recognized or remembered. If you cannot whistle or hum it. When the lyrics are sung in a monotone voice (like your songs) and the songs are about nothing. Not love songs. Your songs are not "toe tapping" either. This is why I say your music is lousy. Real lousy !
Music is real bad right across the FM band. We are going through the "Dark Ages" of music in the 2000's. But you take the cake, as the worst on the FM band! No major composition or standout and no major artist around, whose work will stand out as a classic of the decade. Truly the Dark ages of music.
Mr Program Director, take a deep breath, and fire yourself. Canada will Cheer !

There is so much beautiful music out there from years ago, to be wasting your time on this lousy unsellable, unwanted, unpleasant monotone,talentless trash.
