Deflategate: Who do you believe more after hearing them Thursday, Bill Belichick or Tom Brady?

Once again, the officials didn't do their job properly inspecting the balls before the game. Where's the media on that? There isn't any because it doesn't draw the public attention. However, I will be waiting for the conspiracy story that's going to follow when the NFL finds nothing. It'll probably involve the Colts org. and their equipment personnel. Maybe they had access to the balls before the game and let a little air out of them. Something isn't adding up when the linebacker revealed he didn't hand over the intercepted ball because he thought it was deflated which was part of an original story. I smell a setup. Almost time to turn the cameras in another direction.

Doesn't take a person with a needle to deflate the footballs & it probably was done with every cold weather game !!!!!! Boyle's Law: PV = nRT ergo, I guess somebody in the New England Patriots locker room/equipment room actually learned something in their science classes. You inflate warm balls to 12.5 pounds, store them in a warm room until they are inspected & approved at or above 12.5 lbs and then you put them in the equipment bag & place it outside in the cold or in a freezer for the 2 hours prior to game. And those balls are soft just the way Tom Brady likes them on those really cold days. No needles required just like the tires on your car -when it gets cold the tire pressure idiot light goes off because your warm weather inflated tires are now under inflated. Ha !!!! Ha !!!! Really organized scientifically sound cheating !!!!

Don't give the teams the choice. The NFL should furnish the balls, all teams/QBs use the same ball.

This is another case of over regulation (or over specification). Since each team plays offense with their own footballs, and the quarterback can have them scuffed up to feel 'right', why specify the PSI at all. Why not let both teams put whatever psi they like and tailor it to the playing conditions of the day. Arron Rogers can pump his up to 15 lbs, Brady could have them set to 12 lbs. This allows the team to get the best out of their quarterback, whether he has big or small hands. No advantage to either team, no testing required, no worry about how the pressure changes with temperature, no deflategate! Kicking balls should continue to be common to both teams, and controlled throughout by the Refs.

Until the league comes out and reveals all the pressure values for all the balls before the game and at halftime, shows pictures\video of someone tampering with them will we know what truly happen... The media has been quick to point guilt and say liars, however there is no proof.... there are so many reports that contradict one another that they are unreliable. if nothing is proved and nothing happens to the Pats... if I was Brady, Bellicheck and Kraft... I would be contacting a lawyer and filing defamation of character lawsuits at all the media (ESPN, FOXSPORTS, SPORTS HUB 98.5)

This story is entirely overblown and is taking away from the excitement and thrill of the Superbowl. Can we please move on from this and start to celebrate an American tradition?

Some ESPN pundits essentially called Brady a liar. When Russell Wilson of the Seahawks was asked about game ball preference he said "as long as it has laces, I'll throw it". Mark Brunell ESPN pundit and retired QB told of the opposite extreme and his elaborate prep of game balls. There are knowledgeable ex and current QB's who range all over the place on the discussion. I take Brady at his word. He likes a certain ball (inflated at 12.5psi), picks'em about five hours before the game and does not think about them again. Further, during the game he is so busy doing what he does, handling the ball only seconds at a time and some warm up passes on the sideline, he did not notice any difference between first half balls and second half balls. I can buy that...adrenalin flowing and all. THE UMPIRE HANDLES THE BALL MORE THAN THE QB. Why did the zebra's not notice anything? This is apparently what happens to a successful team that everyone outside New England hates. Kind of like the Yankees and the Cowboys. If you are not a fan, you hate them. It looks like the Patriots have arrived among the sports elite. Perhaps some well intended person with access to those balls thought he was doing Brady a favor. Perhaps the balls were somehow deflated by a person with bad intentions for the Patriots. Perhaps the dislike of the successful Patriots is showing from all corners. There are lots of people who do not relish the thought of the franchise winning a fourth Superbowl. I appreciate some of the Colts who stepped up and mentioned that the ball in now way caused their loss. That's sportsmanship. Until people like the ESPN pundits have proof that the B boys lied, they should practice it and be the gentlemen they are supposed to be.
