I'm curious to hear from those voting "no" about WHY they would oppose an after school program to teach kids music. It is already happening in one school (Lynndale Elementary), and the results are absolutely wonderful. Ten great kids are learning not just music, but teamwork, discipline, professionalism, and the value of hard work and patience. We just want to expand this to enable more kids to do it.
So please educate us...what are the downsides of a program like this? What aspects of it do you oppose? (You can post right here in the comments section, evidently). We invite your input as we decide where to establish this program.

I read the article and this poll is misleading. It isn't a "school" it's an after-school activity for kids where they can play in a steel band and how cool is that?!
