I used to own an 88' 944 (NA). It did not have enough HP back then. I think the V8 would make the car fun in a straight line. However, the beauty of the 944 was the near 50/50 weight balance for curved roads. This "bastard child" would be a mess in the twisties. The oversteer would bring you around in circles in no time due to the lack of weight in the rear. Basically, the opposite of early 911s.
Another thing: I have never seen any "home-built" hybrids like this not suffer for oddities that make them a constant maintenance headache. Nice try, no cigar...

As it is over 25 years old it is smog exempt in a lot of states. In Texas you could get "Antique" plates with no inspection!!!!
