Are You In Favor Of The Mt. Lebanon Deer Culling Plan?

I'VE BEEN SICK SINCE I HEARD ABOUT THIS DEER CULLING! Now I hear on the news the MORONS who took on this job of SLAUGHTER didn't pick the right ammunition. So now it takes MULTIPLE SHOTS TO SLAUGHTER THESE POOR ANIMALS. I hope all who are in favor of this SLAUGHTER have visions and dreams of these animals suffering before they die. I wonder how many accidents have happened in this area because of IDIOT DRIVERS? Maybe they'll BAIT TRAP and SHOOT them! THIS WORLD BECOMES MORE AND MORE FUCKED UP EACH AND EVERY DAY. MAY YOU ALL GO TO HELL!!!!

    Master Bow hunter Sr.
Sorry I addressed you wrong but this situation is WRONG WRONG WRONG!

  • Suz - 9 years ago

    Master Deer Hunter SR.

Do YOU not know it is illegal to Bait, Trap and shoot deer out of season?
I should have known your a SENIOR person to blame the other hunters for over population and say it's illegal to move the deer. THERE IS A LOT OF ILLEGAL DOINGS IN THIS SITUATION. You might want to sit back down in that rocking chair of yours!

  • Master Bowhunter Sr. - 9 years ago

Half the opposed talk transfer deer to other areas. Don't you know that it is illegal to do so? Spread of disease and cause starvation in the already present deer herd. Biology 101 people. Sad but true, our state lands are not a buffet to deer. The deer have eaten themselves out of food. They have depleted much of the diversity food resources our state forests used to have. I'm sorry, but you hunters who are opposed to such thing need to understand it is your problem, you are to blame, you created an overpopulation by not doing your job. The best Deer Management tool is the annual hunting seasons. Your not taking enough deer in these areas or are not hunting at all in these areas. Now what, your overpopulated with deer and don't know what to do or are coming up with uneducated ideas. I hope all of you opposed do not eat farmed meat. That is true cruelty to animals. At least these deer were born free and had a chance to live in the "wild" or your backyards, however you want to look at it. Kill the deer, feed the hungry homeless and less fortunate, and get on with your lives.

  • suz - 9 years ago

I hope these people realize that they are not only KILLING ADULTS but UNBORN BABIES too! They are only a couple of months from being born. I wonder what their views are on abortion? It is mind boggling that this is happening! I'M SURE THEY WILL LOOK THE OTHER WAY AND PRETEND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED!

    OUTRAGEOUS!

  • Brittany S - 9 years ago

I dont care if you hunt but,This is disgusting and inhumane, why not fence around the tomatoes instead of killing of the deer for no reason, its February and freezing, food is hard to find right now, they are only trying to survive, this makes me lose faith in humanity.

  • Kurt - 9 years ago

This is bullshit if they think Mt. Lebonan is over populated with deer why don't they catch them with those cages and go release them in another part of the state such as a national park?! Why in the hell do they have to kill them?

  • M.D. - 9 years ago

I think a ALL the PEOPLE who are in FAVOR of this MASSACRE should GO and WATCH each and every SLAUGHTER SO THEY KNOW THEY ARE GETTING THEIR MONEYS WORTH.

Your all PATHETIC EXCUSES of the HUMAN RACE!!!!!!!
    SHAME ON YOU!

  • Dani - 9 years ago

If you are catching them, why not back up a trailer load them up and relocate them? Even if you had to use tranquilizers. The baby bears that wonder into the neighborhoods get relocated.

  • donna priselac - 9 years ago

what a sick world bitches worried about their flowers wish I could give those defensless deer guns they will beat their bodies raw out of fear this is animal cruelty shame on you game commissioners someone is going to get killed picture it a bunch of assholes with guns at nite killing deer in a cage if you agree with this you are not a human being how can you live withyourself guess your flowers will survive but when your burning in hell you wont survive god created people and all animals for a reason remember what comes around goes around I wont feel any remorse for the killers of any animal in hell maybe you will be locked in a cage being tortured I sure hope so donna p

  • donna p - 9 years ago

really those deer will bash their bodies in fear f those rich bitches worried about stupid flowers it is animal cruelty cant believe game commission agrees with this tell you one thing someone is going to get killed and I wont feel any remorse for them picture this a bunch of assholes with guns killing deer in a fence I wish I could give guns to those deer even up the odds wonder if the bitches worried about their plants and the murdering bastards would feel these people have no heart soul or feelings I hope and know they will burn in hell what comes around goes around god created all living things how can you possibly live with yourself knowing what you did donna p

  • russ - 9 years ago

i think every hunting sportsman should show this community our support for killing our deer that they harbor in their community .all you had to do is advertise they needed archers to come to hunt them,or they could of listed this area for red tags with the game commission and they would of had so many hunters applying for this area, they would of had enough hunters to eliminate their problem but because of greed and waiting to the last minute they think it is OK to just spend their money and go above the laws that we have to follow and bait and kill the deer out of season with barbaric methods .SO THE NEXT TIME YOUR IN THEIR TOWN SHOW YOUR SUPPORT THEY DESERVE for eliminating our deer herds your children are looking forward to hunt

  • April - 9 years ago

    Awful and inhumane.

  • Stephanie T - 9 years ago

This is so disgusting. Put up a fence around your garden. Do you not understand if you kill these ones more are just going to come back?? I guess you just will keep killing them then. The level of human violence never ceases to amaze me. The biggest brains and yet can never take the peaceful route. Why not just allow more hunting then? There is no sport in this. It is selfish and cowardly. Don't kid yourselves into thinking otherwise.

  • Russell musgrove - 9 years ago

i thought the pa game commissions jobs were to serve as law enforcers and to protect the animals rights. There is a law in place that states you must harvest a deer in season by following the rules and regulations.number 1 question what gives the power to a few game commission employees the right to change the laws that are set in place for them follow and uphold .question 2 . if this method of deer culling is now legal can home owners and farmers of large tracks of land now set deer fence traps and draw in deer from the surrounding areas and kill the deer . I believe if its OK for them it should be legal for all ....I HOPE NOT....Also i believe the game commissions employees ,officers have the same responsibility's as a state trooper to enforce the laws i believe the police and game commission are not able to have the power to change laws that are set in place . if so do police officers have the right to change laws as needed.I am not blaming anyone personally but these are my questions i wish there was a way to sue every one involved .maybe there is a way. Mt lebanon has voted on this plan and approved this method so they should be held accountable for there actions hopefully there is a attorney out there that is a hunting fanatic like me and can find a way to protect these deer. and help all the hunters in pa save our deer population

  • Tim - 9 years ago

The deer were there first ! If you don't like wildlife go live in New York City / Bronx ! They should put a fence around mount Lebanon let the deer out n seal it up ! Hell next u people will be bitching about birds flying over ur yards n shitting ! Move !!!

  • pat - 9 years ago

Sick fuckin yuppies. O no honey the deer ate my tomatoes lets kill them all fuck you all

  • Gary - 9 years ago

Game commission in pa is a joke itself, and the deer should be relocated to different areas where deer are thin since the game commission brought coyotes and that disease to our deer herd the past couple years, I would be willing to come pick the deer up if they were in a fenced in area and relocate them in western pa where there are farms and back to the natural habitat, People don't really. understand Pennsylvania's deer herd, the game commission give out so many doe tags. for people to kill the does that one day there will be no more deer because reproduction cycle isn't there or high, just please relocate the deer 150 to 200 deer being relocate to different areas won't harm anything, plus hunters in Pennsylvania are not allowed to bait deer during the deer season what gives the game commission the right or reason to let these people bait plus kill inside a fenced in area, it's a joke if you ask me,

  • Gary - 9 years ago

  • Baker - 9 years ago

75,000.00 is a lot of money! Surely for even less than that amount the deer could be relocated a few hours north into the gigantic forests we are graced with in this state. I find it hard to believe that the residents will tolerate these ghastly killing pens. Revolting! And BTW if you've totaled two vehicles hitting deer in a residential area , you are likely driving too fast, blind, reckless or all three.

  • james ricciuti - 9 years ago

I sort of feel bad about the first comment I made. I think it is unfair feeding them in a pen and then killing them. I was surprised the game commission would let them do it. I never figured they were also low life's along with the supervisor of your town.

  • john k - 9 years ago

i hunt this area and this is bull!!! i paid for my license this isnt a humane way to handle a problem for a select few i put in many hours hunting and respect the animal this is cruel and unfair to the animal and the hunter ther should be an extended season for this area with X amount of tags given to get rid of the problem

  • kim - 9 years ago

This is so disgusting. What kind of a monster pens in animals and then shoots them?

  • rodney - 9 years ago

Im all about hunting but thats crazy If there trapping them why can they relocate them to a new location.

  • Deb - 9 years ago

It is cruel. Relocate them to the northern counties. I have Elk eating my plants and we are NOT allowed to do anything about it, wouldn't anyhow. With a low deer population, why??

  • Martha Dennson - 9 years ago

P, You must be afraid to post your name for fear someone will give you a earful! Or your name begins with P and ends in K. THERE ARE NO WORDS FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU! YOU ,STEVE, RICH, JACK and all others that think this is a good idea need to move to a neighborhood where there is NOTHING but Concrete!!!!! May the eagle fly over your heads and bombard you what is flowing from your mouths.

  • Joseph - 9 years ago

I have a solution that would make everybody happy... A gigantic glass dome, strategically placed over top of the Virginia Manor neighborhood of Mt Lebanon. Just like on that episodes of the Simpsons. "Nobody in, nobody out" Of course we would have to push out all of the deer before it is put into place. Oh yeah, and the squirrels, birds, and anything else that might poop in their yards. Of course the human's of Virginia Manor can stay, they obviously do not poop. They're too good for that...

  • Robert - 9 years ago

I think i know you jack. Your last name is off.

  • Jack - 9 years ago

FINALLY!!! The commissioners finally listened to the people are doing something about the deer population. Funny how there was nothing said when Upper St. Clair held their deer cull. No one was harmed. Deer related accidents fell.

  • Patty - 9 years ago

This is so cruel and inhumane it makes me sick and sad. These deer are God's creatures. I can't believe the game commission is allowing this. Where are the animal rights people? People are getting paid with tax payer dollars to deceive these poor animals and then annihilate them. This is so wrong and sad. It just breaks my heart. These deer can be relocated. The deer are just trying to survive. People have taken away the land and food supply from the deer with all their developments and malls. It's just all about the money.

  • India - 9 years ago

It costs 500 dollars a deer! That means that YOUR tax money is going towards this cruel, horrible, and hateful idea. No deer deserves to die just because a stupid human can't grow their stupid plants.
    Some people are so inconsiderate.

  • Marcy - 9 years ago

@ Steve and all others who think this is okay, I am surprised you are not upset that you didn't get the contract for $75,000 - $500.00 for each deer. Remember humans took over there area. The deer population should be taken into consideration prior to expansion of an area. The parties responsible for continuing to build, should be responsible to relocate the deer. I guess we should build pens for
Rabbits, Birds, Squirrels, Bees, can you think of anything else you would like to see killed. Here's an idea, take all the land that prisons are on, make deer parks, drop the criminals off on a remote island to fend for themselves. They can be picked up once there sentence is over. Yes I am comparing deer to criminals. Criminals get better treatment. Uproot the criminals, make deer parks and wildlife areas.

  • Marcy - 9 years ago

    Steve, unfortunately I
cannot post what I would like to say to you. You are a pathetic excuse for mankind. No reason that these deer cannot be relocated. Your reasoning is
gross. It's called the chain of life. There are options instead of this baiting and killing. Just goes to show you how shallow the people who approved this and the residents are. At the very least they could put them down and make sure they can feed people. The snooties are worried about there precious tomatoes. Maybe they can pick there veggies and feed others. Mt. Lebo is one of the wealthiest areas, they have the tax money to relocate or
contract with a butcher shop to have the deer processed. You sicken me!

  • Robert - 9 years ago

Not sure about that James.....but I won't be eating those damn tomatoes that's for sure.

  • james ricciuti - 9 years ago

What will happen when there is to many people?

  • Joy - 9 years ago

Ca you imagine the fear these poor things will be going through as they're being slaughtered!!! Someone who has the power to stop this has to be contacted!

  • Robert Bahr - 9 years ago

Steve I would rather think of your head going thru the windshield. I hope the deer wasn't hurt...oh and that yard of yours.....WHO CARES? Looks like the lobotomy went well for you stevie boy. Now if we could get rid of the likes of you and keep the deer....maybe Mt Lebanon could begin to be a nice place to live. By the way why don't you get the tax payers to pay for your ghetto yard?

  • Anya - 9 years ago

How can people do this to animals!??? Only an evil person with no heart can do this. So sad!

  • Robert Bahr - 9 years ago

They should put the commissioners in a cull and when there are six of them.....shoot them. They are much more of a nuisance than than the deer. Take a poll on that.

  • Robert Bahr - 9 years ago

What else would you expect from mt lebanon?

  • M L Schultz - 9 years ago

Why can't they catch them and take out in the woods where they could live and be away from all the home in MT LEBANON. It is cruel to just kill them.

  • Martha - 9 years ago

This cruel and inhumane act is breaking at least 4 laws. The tax payers are paying for this! Is this the way you want your tax dollars used? Down right shameful!!!!! You hit the nail on the head Jeff H.

    SAD SAD SAD!

  • Todd - 9 years ago

i wonder what is going to be done with all these deer after they are killed.there are probably local butchers willing to process these deer for local food banks.there is a lot of meat that might be wasted that could help needy families.people may not like hunters be at least the meat isn't wasted.

  • linda lilley - 9 years ago

They Should Tranquilize The Deer And Move Them To The Nearest State Game Lands And Release Them.
It Would Be A Lot Less Expensive. I Feed The Deer That Come Into My Backyard, I Don't Kill Them.

  • Jeff H - 9 years ago

It's not the "residents of Mt. Lebanon" who pushed this ill-conceived plan, it's the Commissioners' garden-club political handlers, who insisted the common folk-majority of the town pay for the "damage" deer caused to their thousand-dollar gardens and Chemlawns. And by "damage" I mean, eat plants and shit them back out. $75,000 later, we've handed out a contract to kill 150 deer to a contractor who, despite failing to meet even the most basic of bid criteria, has absolutely no prior experience in culling deer. As a result, we have shady-looking men sitting in cars in our neighborhoods, with silenced guns, waiting for "the text", which will communicate that a deer has entered the corral and thus, is ready to be executed. This May or may not occur as park-goers utilize the parks which children and young adults use to walk to and from their respective schools. This plan is simply another example of 5 bad-apple Commissioners operating outside of the majority of the community in order to appease a very select number of resident-handlers. The high school renovation and the artificial turf were pushed through in a similar manner. With no recall mechanism, the Commissioners operate comfortably insulated from public backlash. Remember folks who your Commissioner is and how he/she votes to benefit you? Can't think of anything positive this Commission has done? You're not alone.

  • Dee - 9 years ago

Are these Mt Lebanon officials elected officials that made this decision. Remember that next time you VOTE. Also the article states the killer left for Pgh. Why are tax payer dollars going elsewhere?? Steve quit talking!!

  • Betty - 9 years ago

Let's hope that if the Hays Eagles have to relocate in the event that their nesting tree is destroyed by the Ash Beetle, the nation's symbol doesn't decide to relocate to Mt. Lebo! Large birds can leave large droppings on those properties and expensive cars.

  • Alan - 9 years ago

I was so disgusted to hear that they were going to corral dear and slaughter them.I can't believe that the Pennsylvania game commission cannot come up with a better way to solve this problem.furthermore I cannot believe that such a barbaric thing would take place and this was approved, not much wonder that people treat each other like they do when we would treat a innocent animal that is so helpless like this. what a sorrowful state of mind. why don't they lift the strict regulations they have, Hunter are scared to death to shoot a deer for fear that they're going to get busted due to the antler restriction. I hope they can come up with a better solution Then this

  • M. Diegelman - 9 years ago

When the killing company refused to let reporter Paul M. go along, I thought that shows they are doing something very wrong, They want to operate in the shadows. VERY CRUEL AND INHUMANE!
They can't relocate these deer? We used to have deer in our area, but development has thinned them down. I marvel at their beauty when I do get to see one.

  • suz - 9 years ago

This is for all who are in favor of the deer cull!
PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU DRIVE IN THIS AREA and SLOW DOWN! The MAJORITY SHOULD RULE not the minority. I cross paths with deer all the time, I am aware and have never crashed because of a DEER. So for that 20% that are self centered and not willing to share space with the deer, may a pot hole swallow your precious BMW, CADILLAC, LEXUS AND all your other cars. May your plants shrivel and not produce.
THIS ACT IS NOTHING BUT WRONG! WE SHARE THIS EARTH WITH ANIMALS. So get your head out of that dark stinky place that you keep it!

  • Maryann - 9 years ago

Do the residents of mt Lebanon think they are the only community with a deer problem.? This is such an inhuman way to treat any animal. I wish there was another way to handle this.

  • Terry - 9 years ago

Is this guy Steve for real. He doesn't know the first thing about what a true hunter is. Clueless!!!! He is right about one thing. Some people are just stupid.

  • peggy - 9 years ago

I think it is cruel, they want to slaugher the deer but the game commission has so many regulations for hunters anymore ( they can't bait and kill, strict antler size) but they are going to bait and kill over 150 deer? Why not loosen up some on restrictions for hunters? Its just inhumane and makes me sick!

  • Carolyn Leitzell - 9 years ago

This is so sad. How inhumane can this County get? Maybe some sick people who hate the wildlife just
want to participate in a "Thrill Kill". Maybe they are worried about their manicured lawns. I live in an area in Allegheny county where we have a lot of deer. They stay in the woods and bother nobody. They come on my property toward evening and eat corn. They do not damage anything. They are a beautiful, majestic animal and this makes me sick. I hope this plan backfires on the shooters.

  • Steve - 9 years ago

"inhumane", can you guys say it enough?

Think about your child being hurled through a windshield and killed or impaled from the deer ripping through the car's windshield from a car accident that a deer caused...I suppose you'll be OK with that but you saved a deer's life. Since you want everyone to get along and everyone to live with nature.

  • Kevin kronk - 9 years ago

To the mt. Lebanon leaders what is wrong with you people. Why not just tranquilize them and move them to mountains. This is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard of. You people have more money than brains. 76,000$ for that. Your crazy

  • vinny - 9 years ago

Either bring in archers or spay / neuter them and release.Another possibility would be to add an animal version of a birth control into saltlicks.

  • flo - 9 years ago

If you are going to trap the deer anyway, why not transport them to the deep woods and set them free.I know hunters who hunt the deep woods and never see a deer

  • Terry - 9 years ago

As a hunter for many years I have the utmost respect for wildlife. Once hunting season is over I feed the deer and other wildlife thru the rest of winter. To kill these deer in such a way is so sad. I agree with others that these deer should be tranquillized and transported to the vast areas of our national forest.

  • Janet - 9 years ago

Such a TERRIBLE thing to do. We love our deer out here where i live in Imperial. Bring them here and we will take care of them. What's a few more???

  • Julie - 9 years ago

Send them to the game lands and increase deer season. At least then it's a fair fight so to speak.

  • Julie - 9 years ago

Send them to the game lands and increase deer season. At least then it's a fair fight so to speak.

  • Kirk dewar - 9 years ago

Why do they have to slaughter the deer, if their going through the trouble trapping the deer, then why not load the deer and move them to other locations and release. Fayette , Greene, Elk, ext. Counties that could except the deer..

  • Steve - 9 years ago

Once again, avid animal lovers, do you not get it? You can't shoot or hunt them like you're in the woods so enough with the ....I'm a hunter for blah blah years...and think this is not OK. BUT hunting them in their natural environment in the woods IS OK ....why cause it's a sport at that point? You're still killing them...but I guess it's OK if they didn't know it was coming right? Really...are you guys actually saying this? What about the guys shooting the deer and not killing them and they run off...that's OK though right?

It's too populated of an area. Why can't you guys understand this? You CANNOT relocated the animals, it's against PA law. Kill them, who cares how, about the only point I can see is that you don't make the animals suffer. ..stupid people in PA...seriously.

  • Paula - 9 years ago

This is so inhumane. I feel that the people who agreed to this should have to be put in a cage and let people shoot them with paint ball guns. Why NOT trap them and relocate them? I'm sorry but I don't care if they are DONATING the meat to the shelters or not this is wrong.

  • sue - 9 years ago

Complete slaughter. This is stupid. Why not pen up " other criminals " and shoot them too. That would save tax payers a ton of money.

  • JM - 9 years ago

This is a very inhumane way to try to control a population, and I've never heard of such a thing! Trapping animals and slaughtering them? That is just plain murder and shouldn't be done to any living thing.

  • Brianne - 9 years ago

The people who are condoning this inhumane act should be tranquilized and shot.

  • Shawn - 9 years ago

Attention game commission!!! It's illegal for us hunters to bait deer when we hunt, why is this legal? Bring in archery hunters

  • Dan - 9 years ago

I am an avid hunter and have been hunting since I was 13 years old and am now 51 so I have been hunting for 38 years and deer hunting is my passion. That being said penning the deer up and shooting them is not humane. They can tranquilize them and transport them to Venango, Butler, Mercer, or Washington County were there is more farm land to at least have a chance if a hunter were to miss. The residents fail to realize that they are the ones in the Deers habitat not the other way around.

  • Steve - 9 years ago

The animal lovers are pathetic. They are deer, they are not part of a food chain in most suburban areas, so they flourish. They are pests. To the ones posting to relocate the animals, get educated. In PA, it's not permitted to relocate deer. ...where would you relocate them anyways?...an area that doesn't bother you anymore but bothers someone else?

Hopefully one of the people that are upset and outraged, hit one with their car and ruins their day. That will do two things, get rid of one more pest, and probably change the opinion of the outraged person as to why we do not need to have an overpopulation of deer.

I've totaled two vehicles already from these damn pests. They do nothing but tear up my yard too.

  • Sandra Simpson - 9 years ago

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard! In the poll, no one seems to want it. All agre it is cruel, so what about spay and neuter deer? Deer are a communal animal. They live in family groups. Not only is killing them cruel, but the "teachers" will not be there for the next group. If these deer are killed, then other herds will simply take their place. Spay and neuter would be the best soluton.

  • Mary - 9 years ago

If they can get all the deer rallied into a fence to kill them they can lure them into trucks as well to be transported to areas where they can live outside of the city. This is horribly cruel.

  • Doc A - 9 years ago

Tranquilizing bear and moving them is an entirely different process than doing the same for deer because you are comparing entirely different animals reaction to drugs!!

  • rich - 9 years ago

come on people get a life deer are everywhere in fact too many that's why there is a deer season they destroy your property eat your flowers but you say its cute well if it was a person you would want to hang them wake up before its too late

  • Chad seyler - 9 years ago

Pgc is such joke! This is by far a horrible idea, I'm a avid hunter but trapping deer just to shoot them maybe we should do this to people. Why can't you just relocate the deer to a different area the state of pa is the worst state for hunting they have no idea how to manage it.

  • Lisa - 9 years ago

Simple as relocate..Why can they do it for bear but not deer??? We are a hunting family but this is cruel!

  • Rebecca - 9 years ago

This method is pathetic and cowardly. If the Mt. Lebo residents that have a problem with the deer insist on it, then the corrals should be set up in their own yards, NOT on public land. After all, they claim it is a safe method!
Then, those same residents need to be the ones to pull the trigger at close range and witness how incredibly inhumane this really is.
I was at the last town meeting, and there was an overwhelming opposition to this decision. Why the commissioners went ahead with it is an incredible my$tery.

  • Charles r dunn - 9 years ago

I am against killing the deer but if they do kill them, they should take taxpayers dollars , as they always do. Have the deer processed and give to the food banks for the less fortunate. Because its a total waste to have them dumped in a pile somewhere. Or take alot of the money that we spend for license or the royalties off the gaswells on gamelands property and do some good with it.

  • Jen - 9 years ago

I feel that they should relocate those deer to other areas that are not over populated. Such a shame to kill those deer. They r beautiful animals. Remember people they where here before us . We invade them.

  • Beth - 9 years ago

Shoot the deer and harvest the meat for food pantries and homeless shelters. Thin the heard, don't eliminate it.

  • Beckie - 9 years ago

Really all of you would rather see the deer take over destroy properties, cause accidents, and spread diseases, than to have a controlled shoot? Tell you what all of you should be forced to live there with the deer.

  • Anna Betters - 9 years ago

This is inhumane, the deer can and should be transported to another location. Whoever is in favor of this is cruel and heartless. These deer do not deserve to be trapped and killed, what a disgrace to this community and all commissioners who are letting this happen.

    Anna Betters

  • Patti - 9 years ago

They should be taken somewhere not killed. I agree with Sherri.

Why can't they herd them up and relocate them to another area. What a waste of life and beauty. If they were killed for a source of food that's different but give them a chance.

It's not a secret that deer are a problem in Western Pennsylvania. Many communities have a deer program to control the deer including Fox Chapel, Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, and Peters Township. Additionally, there are deer culls in all of the county parks. So, not quite sure why people are so upset about controlling deer in another community.

Why couldn't they take them to other areas. We live next to game lands & rarely see deer anymore. Were in Greene co.

What a cruel way to fix a difficult problem quickly. It speaks to the fact
that people when they want .. look the other way. We're teaching our
children many mixed messages of how to handle life's challenges. A highly
educated community can find a better, humane resolution. As a parent,
I am tired of the violence that I see, hear or read on a daily basis.
