Let the show have an ending episode please. I think Tom's youngest daughter is guilty. I think she is evil and will try to kill her mother who is taking her away to keep her safe.

When does Secrets and Lies come back? I love the show, its full of surprises and suspense. Please let it come back on along with Revenge. I love that show as well.

At first I thought Natalie, as I always felt it was one of the daughters. But after rewatching some scenes, I now say it's Abby.... But who knows they may knock us off our feet & have it have been Ben all along! Can't wait to find out.

From the very first episode I have felt it was Melissa Gilbert's son Mattie who killed Tom. Melissa Gilbert is too big a star for her to be in this series for no good reason. I feel like Mattie is really a genius at computers. He is always holding on to that computer so tight. Also Ben's computer system on his truck was hacked into. Yep, I think it is Mattie.

    British version so much better.

I think it is the youngest daughter!

I think Juliette Lewis is doing a great job, her acting is making you hate her character, did you see last night episode when the women is screaming at her "you ruined our lives" that's her role to get you to hate her.
I liked that there showing all the little things going on behind the close doors of his neighbors, no home is perfect. (secrets and lies). Not sure who did it, changed my mind a few times, that's why I'm hooked and keep watching.

Please don't keep the suspense going on too long. People will lose interest.

I stumbled upon the Australian version on Netflix, started watching and couldn't stop. It was awesome. It's exactly the same story, but the big difference is in the casting, they really nailed that in the Aussie version. Check it out and see if you agree.

Juliet Lewis! Anytime an actor/actress infuriates me thru the character portrayed, I am sure of one thing. I am sure that they are fantastic at their trade.
Dt. Cornell is a character and that character is absolutely detestable.
I hope I never have to deal with a person like her.

    Great show!

I figured it in the opening episode. It was just a short flash, but one of the neighbor's children appears to have a mental disability. With the shows obvious focus other central characters, no one is even considering a least likely prospect.
I've seen this scenario a few other times on TV shows.
Hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not,and they see this, they might slip in an alternate ending.

Awful. What is wrong with Juliette Lewis's face????? I really like her and wanted her to do well in this.

Also..as a true crime buff, unless they tried to keep the show within a certain time limit, I don't believe Ben would have been named as a suspect, and treated like a suspect at the beginning. They seem to have completely eliminated everyone else and focus entirely on him. I'm not convinced the "evidence" necessarily points to him as the killer.

I don't believe the neighbors would have zeroed in on him that early, either. Unless Ben has been in prison for (a) murder, (b) child abuse (c) assault. They sure seem quick to judge. Ditto his wife; she would rather believe Scott is harmless than believe her husband is innocent.

    Not very believable.

Scenes with Juliette Lewis are painful to watch.

Something is "off" about the younger daughter. Jealousy maybe?

Having said all that.....even though Lewis' character ruins it for us, we MAY continue to watch just to see how it ends up.

Wife is being vindictive abd will lead to Ben's arrest. Think moocher man is setting him up too. Both jealous.I think Tyler will be the killer.
Not sure who he is.Autistic boy wanted to go home to Tyler.Ben asked if Tyler was home.Lady obviously lied and said no.
Cornell is obsessed and a lousy cop.
    But I love the show...

I think the big sister had something to do with the murder. To flat emotionally, not interested in any detail's of what happed to the boy. feel she is closer to Scot then letting on. Feels she knows the boy was her brother. Weird to love your brothers father. With boy out of way she might have a chance with Scott

  • susanne - 9 years ago

Think oldest daughter and Scott had something to do with the murder. Scott to get back and hurt wife. The only emotions the oldest daughter had was when she got busted seeking to meet Scott. Bet she knew the boy was her brother. Weird she's not interested in any details, she did babysit the kid for 5 year and he lived across the street. With the truck unlocked she and Scott had access to the flahlight

Gone Girl gone soap opera parodytic.

  • Phoenix - 9 years ago

I think it's the wife as well as the reasons above, why would she let the police have access to their home and immediately blurt out what type of flashlight he owned. The scenario with the oldest daughter is compelling also, making it even more similar to gracepoint

  • Amanda - 9 years ago

Umm first of all he TOLD her to get the snack size but he got her the big bag anyway! Secondly Ryan Philippe is an amazing guy wether he's a killer or an a-hole (such as in cruel intentions!!) So even if he did kill his son (which I think it was either his wife or jess's husband) he would still be amazing!

  • Kylene Hurley - 9 years ago

I like Ryan, and there is enough going on to keep my interest for a few episodes but they've got to do something about Juliette Lewis. Her character is so flat and unlikable. I couldn't watch her for a whole season.

  • Tia - 9 years ago

It's the older daughter shes the one who gave the lil boy the GI Joe doll from Scott. I believe she was sneaking the boy taking the boy to see Scott, the stepfather and things went bad that's why the flashlights missing. The daughter took it sneaking Lil man out in the middle of the night. Dad trying to run of the booze stumbled upon the scene, covered it up at the time to protect his daughter and got rid of evidence doing so.

  • Martha - 9 years ago

I feel the child that is autistic did it! He is show briefly in two scenes, one outside of his house with his Mom and the other scene in church.

  • joni - 9 years ago

The show would've been better if it wasn't for Juliette Lewis and her bad over acting.

  • jackie - 9 years ago

    It's the brother

  • Chad - 9 years ago

didnt we just do this on fox? Gracepoint grosspoint whatever it was and that was just as horrible as this is.

  • Sally - 9 years ago

Loved the show! Smells like a setup to me.

  • J2 - 9 years ago

Ben didn't do it, that would be too obvious. I think his daughter did it...there's something there that doesn't feel right to me about her...I'm talking about the youngest daughter!

  • Regina - 9 years ago

Could it have been the boy's mother? She was quick to name her husband. I don't think her husband killed the child. Second, who told him that the child was no his? He knew before it came out on the media.

  • Laura - 9 years ago

Not Sure if I think Ben did it or not. The finger could be pointed at a few people, But either way Ben is one handsome man, and I think the show is great. Not sure though, if I like Juliette's character that much but the rest of the cast is great.

I agree det. Cornell and her foochie face are killing it. But I like how the show has me on a big guessing game.. how did Scott find out he's not the baby daddy and Ben is? I think ben's wife is the killer. She acting too cool with the affair. Making her my #1 suspect.

  • cg77 - 9 years ago

IT is the wife..Scott(Jess's ex) probably told her, and she killed the boy jealous and thinking all along that Tom and Jess were having the "best of both worlds"...she rufie'd him the night before thats why Tom has no memory, and he/she both had equal access to the keys, and flashlight. Only, the wife wasn't expecting Tom to jog that morning. She a crazy bitch.

It was just okay to me because Juliette Lewis is horrible as Det Cornell she bugged me and some of the things she did were just plain harassment

  • sarah - 9 years ago

I agree her character is ruining the show. I don't know if it's bad acting or what but it's ridiculous. Its not believable at all ll.honestly think one of the girls did it. The one good thing about the show is that Ryan Phillipe is seriously hot..

  • Rosanna Shubert - 9 years ago

Why was the first Secrets and Lies cancelled? I was very disappointed.

  • Annie - 9 years ago

Yes but the Cornell character is just so bizarre you cant wait for the scenes she's in.

  • Karen - 9 years ago

Unfortunately, Juliette Lewis is ruining the show. Her character is totally unbelievable and annoying! Too bad, it could have been a great show!
