We're getting fucked. Why is nobody doing anything about this? Oh ya, Canada brings in 250,000 immigrants a year and most of the "Canadian" population are uneducated foreigners from sh*thole countries that are just happy to be here and dont complain and wont stir anything up as long as they can work here, ruin our wages while sending all the money home. Its actually a brilliant strategy. Glad ill be retiring/dying soon, Canadian economic health in the middle class is crumbling. Soon it will be just rulers and peaseants. Sad sad future.

Very discouraging to motivate Albertan's to work more or at all, again our Government attacks the already tax paying citizens, maybe our Government should look into companies that found loop holes in the system to avoid contributing to the tax program. Its not always the working peoples fault for mismanagement. Where is the next Ralph Klein ? This is ridiculous !

Continually raising OUR taxes and day to day living when our low pay still stays the same does that make sense??? Try cutting from all the politicians first with all their perks and high pay. Try making all the immigrants that come here get jobs instead of living off of the tax payers and make them pay taxes like the rest of do. YOU LIVE IN CANADA, YOU WORK, YOU PAY TAXES NOT LIVE FOR FREE OFF THE REST OF US.

Continually increading the sin tax is riduculous. Why don't all the politician in their fancy offices start with a pay cut to help with the deficiet. Leave the 100,000 plus income earners alone. Why don't they start at the 500,000+ income earners. I really don't know how they expect people to continually survive with the increase to day to day living and the decrease of income due to extra tax. Leave the education system alone. Seriously how they expect the students to be successful or even be able to go to school. We are relying on these students to be our future. However, the government is setting them up to fail before they even have a fair chance. Tax the bigger corporations, that is where the money is at, but oh no let's leave them alone! So stupid. Bad decision as far as i am concerned on the governments behalf. But then again, when isn't it?

If corporate taxes and royalties had been what they should have been for the last 20 years we would be rolling in money. I see no need nor no good plan with the increase in the cost of gasoline by adding another 4 cents per liter to the costs of all goods and services and trying to get to a job. Most people have no other way to get to work, to get their children to activities than to drive them. It would have been much better to increase the taxes on alcohol and tobacco to cover the revenue from this increase in tax on gasoline. Again it will not matter to the rich but will really affect those who must budget. It is typically non thinking taxation that the conservatives love to fall back on when they have already taken the tax payers to the cleaners. It is crazy that we have given our resources to the corporations for so many years and have so little to show for it. No one with an income under $150,000.00 per year should pay for health care premiums!

After 40 plus years at the helm the only change has been the face. Look over your shoulders Albertans.

Okay, increase the tobacco and alcohol taxes, people stop smoking and drinking, then where do you get the money, more income tax, higher gas prices? Bring back the health care premium, it was only $36.00 a month single and $72.00 a month for a family, CHEAP. Next question, when/if oil prices recover, will these taxes be reduced again, I am thinking no, then it becomes a money grab at the taxpayers expense. Thnk about it Government of Alberta, what do you then, oh wait, they will be so happy they recovered and lived through it, I see another 10% pay hike for the politicians, AGAIN.

4 cents per litre????? On any given day the price of gas fluctuate by up to 9 cents ( when the price goes up) and no one says boo. Alberta could have boosted gasoline tax by 10 cents per litre and left some of the other hikes lower.
