I am not reading any comic created by a "woman" with a dong.

How do I vote?? logged over here and it says polls are closed!

Phoebe is offensive to any adult with a brain. Please do not use this comic. I can only assume that it is much cheaper than the current list. Your paper has eliminated so many pages I used to enjoy, including the magazine-like weekend pages.[ Not the Spry section which appears to be filler.] Your paper is now VERY THIN, once the advertising is thrown out.

I am sorry I did not get a chance to respond to the poll--I like all the comics except Rip Haywire. Phoebe is not worth the space it will take up.

Don't even start 'Phoebe/Unicorn'. It's target audience does not subscribe nor read the newspaper as far as I can determine. And it feels arrogant and stupid, plus the fact your imperial decision to start it without ever asking the readership! Dump Wumo, Tundra, Six Chicks, Pooch Café, Marvin. there are many much better comics out there, many in the Seattle Times

Get rid of six chix and wumo. replace with The unicorn, bring back Willie 'N Ethel.

Why on earth would you add a strip as inane, childish and boring as 'Phoebe and Her Unicorn' to your lineup?! There is no strip currently running that I like LESS than Phoebe. At least it hasn't resorted to potty humor so far, but that's about all I can say for it. The comic section shouldn't be just for children so please keep the strips geared for grownups, such as Wumo and Tundra.

While I agree with most of my co-readers' comments - personally, I say, get rid of Baby Blues or The Brilliant Mind of Edison Lee - that fact is the Herald has made up its mind, as stated in its introductory blurb:
"Phoebe and Her Unicorn"... WILL BE replacing one of our current comic strips.
The introductory strip does appear a bit insipid but I'm willing to let it develop over the next few months.
If, after the summer say, it's still lame then I'd like to petition for "Classic Calvin and Hobbes" to replace it!

unicorn is stupid, drop it and also baby blues, wumo, and six chix,

Agree with Mike - NO Phoebe! There are lots of others that are MUCH better!

  • Margo Faccini - 9 years ago

I agree with Mike - we don't need another small child with, or without, imaginary animals. Non-Sequitur, Chickweed Lane, and The Duplex were/are great with adult humor. I've even grown to enjoy Zitz. Wumo and Tundra are also great with their somewhat twisted, adult humor. We, who still subscribe to actual newspapers, are the Pickles.
    Thanks,
    Margo

Please don't add Phoebe and her Unicorn. I suggest also dropping Marvin and Baby Blues. I don't think these appeal to your demographic ( older).
I suggest adding back Non-Sequitur daily, The Duplex and Ballard Street instead.
    Thanks, Mike
