Not in todays day and age. Pedophiles are lurking and much violence I would not allow it.

I agree, it depends on the neighborhood, the town, if the streets are along the woods or houses, side roads or busy main roads. My kids walked home from school all the time. 10 yrs old is about 5th grade. They would walk the 3 blocks home, it's all houses, nice neighborhood, we know just about everyone and they would walk with a bunch of kids.
