How should the revised Index of Japanese Swordsmith be like?

Just as it was, two volumes (although more voluminous this time).

Three volumes about 500 pages each (no pictures, just data).

Three voluminous volumes enlarged with pictures.

I don't care about print volumes as I am just going to get the eBook version.

For me the attractiveness of a three volume set, is one, the information will be in a larger print format, and two, each volume will be easier to use as it will have a smaller profile. Illustrations and pictures in perhaps just one of the books, of your choosing would be an attractive addition.
