Way too much for an old diesel benz with a bad engine. These cars signaled the end of the good old diesels. Give me a slow old 300SD with that tractor of a 5 cylinder.

The only thing i can say for this one is that it's clean, but search the grounds of the junk yards you will these things lying around if they have not made it to the crusher.

Finally, I car I know something about and it's not even close to being an even call. A record setting CP. I own an '88 560 SEL and it is the greatest casr ever but maybe only worth one tenth his asking price. The diesel in the W126 is not as good as the earlier S Class oil burners. The photos in his ad may be quite old as the odometer reads a lot lower (188K?) than the advertized mileage of 222K. It looks to be in very good shape but there are quite a few of these still around. It might be worth 10K to someone on a good day if it looks as good upon inspection close up. My advice is to forget the diesel and buy the best 560 SEL you can find for less than half this guy's asking price.
