I voted "Other" since "none of the above" isn't an option. I have no desire to see Twilight leave the show, but if she did the writers shouldn't try to replace her. I'd prefer that the ReMane Five can carry on alone. The writers already struggle trying to add all of the main cast to stories, dropping the character count by one (realistically two—without Twilight, Spike has no role) would be a blessing.

I think Discord is perfect. he might not be a unicorn, but he is reformed and totally into friendship plus he did give Twilight the key to magic(friendship)

Starlight Glimmer. If she comes out of the caves reformed she would be perfect. I don't get what is so great about Sunset Shimmer. She has spent a grand total of two minutes, if that, in Equestria since the series started and that was in the first Equestria Girls movie. Besides, they need a good strong leader that will make sure that none of them thinks they are better than anypony else.

I was inclined to choose Sunset Shimmer, but the stark lack of canon interaction with Ponyville-folk and the non-human mane 5 necessitated my choice, "an entirely new pony." A hefty roll of the dice in itself, but not nearly as large of a gamble as G/PT in my opinion.

Well this poll is over. Sunset Shimmer is the winner. I almost voted Trixie, but as much as I like her, I don't see her fitting in as leader of the Mane6 like Twilight does, unlike Sunset.
