What do you think of Jim Prentice resigning his seat as MLA?

To me it was so obvious that it would happen who could have been surprised. Jim didn't come back into public life for us he came back solely for his own personal gain. The PC executive & Jim cooked up a deal to buy the traitors within the opposition & go to a quick election & run the table. It was going to look good on his resume when he tried to take over from Harper in 2016 but in the end his political career went into the tank with Danielle & all the other wastes of skin that conspired with him. To resign his seat before all the votes were even counted shows his true colours to the people of Alberta. The organized crime group that ran this province for the last ten years are gone and for that we are all better off.

A prime example of a Captain abandoning his boat and crew in rough waters. Coward!

When Jim Prentice left his banking job, he committed to leading AB through tough times. Albertans did not like his tough budget. He wanted a mandate to support this budget and to show support to him and his party in order for them to move Alberta forward through a long tough journey. He would be foolish to stay when Albertans clearly did not want to go in the direction we probably needed to go. Good for him -who needs to be kicked around.

It was nice to see the change in the political landscape in Alberta. The PCs were tired and worn out. It was time for them to go. A surprise result was the showing of the Wildrose party Who would have thought that they would make a comeback after electing their leaded about 38 days ago. Jim Prentice's reign as Premier must be one of the shortest in history in this province. I am hoping that the NDP make Alberta a better place to live for all Albertans, not just the wealthy

Jimmy showed is true colors. Just like a little kid who takes his ball and goes home if things don't go his way. He quit he should be forced to pay for the cost of the bye election

Aww, little Jimmy didn't get picked so he took his ball and went home. I guess if you can't be the leader of the governing party then, really, what's the use of sitting in the backbench. Kind of reminds me of a spoiled Belinda Stronach.

Jim Prentice has shown us his true colors for the past 8-9 months---we should not be surprised that he resigned. He came back to lead a party that has had us under a spell for 44 years---and his campaign along with his comments and actions indicated that he believed Albertans would elect the party again--despite what he said or did. (buying memberships, blaming us for his party's mismanagement of funds, cutting benefits for charitable donations, and --------duping Danielle)
I believe last night's result was not a vote for the NDP but rather a vote against the PCs. The Wildrose floor crossers should check their egos, too. I am proud to be an Albertan today!!!!
