After Colter's 4th place finish running 4:41 in a stacked field, she should definitely get one of the two final dream mile spots

Coach, the 1600 and Mile are not the same thing. And if the rankings in Milesplit are correct she is and has been ranked #1 in the mile since the Arcadia meet. Also, she has the fastest 800 time in the nation at 2:04.56 not 2:05.
Hi David, i'm not trying to belittle you are anyone else but, Colter does not have the fastest time in the mile, she does have the fastest in the 800 with a 2:05.48, behind her would be Aaliyha Miller from Texas who ran a 2:05.94. Once again Devin Clark has the 3rd fastest time in the nation. She ran a 4:42.70 at the 6A state track meet in Austin, TX and she was not invited.

All of the runners on the list are very good runners indeed, but if you go off of time as we should and not of vote, Devin Clark should be the one. She has the 3rd fastest time in the nation behind Julie Heymach and Stephanie Jenks who are both 4:40 milers. I watched her (Devin ) and Julie Heymach toe it off all season long, just so happens Texas have 2 of the top fastest girls racing each other in the same region, therefore one of the top girl have to be put on a vote. I wish you luck Devin in the Steve Prefontaine Classic and good luck in Arkansas. Oh! let us not forget about Paige Hofstad who was before injuring herself was ranked #4 in the nation, who is also from Texas who ran in the same region as Julie and Devin.

You are 100% right Doc I had the privilege of coaching Annie in basketball as a freshman and sophomore and I know she is the best all around athlete to graduate from Manistee schools. It will be exciting to see how much her times improve when she training year round and meets some tougher competition. Michigan State got lucky when she signed with them I know she toured a lot of campuses.

And RON as you know, Annie's best times are ahead of her. I'm sure there's no one on the list that played in the basketball state championships. She doesnt train year round like most or all of these girls do. If she's not picked oh well, she has many races ahead of her, GO GREEN! But I gotta give it to the community and her fans, thanks for blowing up the votes Michigan!

Any girl under 4:50 deserves a chance...they all are obviously working hard!

Annie Fuller should definitely be running with a 2:04.7 800 and a 4:44.5 mile. She is the best runner in Michigan and one of the best in the nation.

Hannah Long deserves the invite! She got fourth last year in the dream mile and was voted as the one of the best returning milers this year. She was invited to the foot locker nationals three times and was the Gatorade XC runner of the year and track runner of the year for mo

And Colter beat two girls already confirmed in the Dream Mile and Collins as well. No one "deserves" it over another girl. They all work hard and I'm sure they are all great kids.

Devin Clark deserves this more than any girl on that list. She has the fastest time out of any of these girls in this poll and has ran consecutive races sub 4:50 including multiple 4:47's, 4:45, and lastly 4:42. She blew the competition out by over 6 seconds at Texas Relays which included a field with Destiny Collins in it. Devin deserves this! Go Devin!

Thanks Doc and well said. Not that it's a huge deal but the 2:04 was at 5200 feet and she has had the #1 mile time for over a month since her win at Arcadia. Again, I hope that a committee really looks at all of this closely, lots of talent.
Doc - 9 years ago
I agree Stan the Man, she has also run a 2:07 800m. I do agree w Hamilton though that Jordyn Colton deserves a spot. She ran a 2:04 800m. I would like to see Jordan and Annie go against Dani Jones who is already invited. Three middle distance powerhouses!

I don't know Annie Fullers best time but I saw she ran 4:44 at one meet this season...she deserves a spot for sure...one of the most decorated high school track athletes in the state of Michigan history.
David Hamilton - 9 years ago
No one deserves to go over another, you earn your spot. They all work hard. I truly hope it's not just a vote that decides the final two runners

Devin Clark deserves this spot more than anyone. Her best mile time is a 4:42, best I've ever heard of.
Ben Dover - 9 years ago
Devon clark is the best runner out there. No one even comparison to her hard work and great dedicatoon.
Avianna Trinidad - 9 years ago
Her fastest mile time is 4:42!!! Go Devin!!!

Devin Clark needs to go!! Vote for her

Devin Clark ran her fastest mile time at a 4:42... That's awesome.

Well said Jody. That is my point, its not about who goes out and recruits for the most votes. It should be about how you preform on the track and Colter has the best time right now. I obviously don't get how this works.
Jen - 9 years ago
I totally agree with what David Hamilton said! Great point!
Jody Fuller - 9 years ago
Who deserves it? How about who runs the fastest, who works the hardest. This is not a popularity contest.
David Hamilton - 9 years ago
Can't believe Colter has not received an invite. #1 in the US in the mile and #1 in the 800 and ran 4:46 at altitude a couple weeks ago to take down all Colorado record that was set by an amazing runner Elise Cranny. The girl has earned a spot.
