She was born and raised in Japan, she is as Japanese as any other "Japanese" person. She is as deserving of this as anyone else.
The people who think otherwise might do better living in the 1920's when eugenics and ethnic purity was all the rage. Humanity has moved on from this, as rightly we should, as it is nothing but a load of excrement.
