Do you feel that Cle Elum will benefit from chipping in about 7% towards completing the goal to begin construction on a regional Upper County animal shelter?

What a great deal for Cle Elum to get the full benefit of a $140,000.00 animal facility and only be asked for a 7% contribution towards its construction! Just like the cooperative Cle Elum-Roslyn-South Cle Elum Police Department, chipping in on a regional facility makes perfect sense. ARRF didn't approach the cities and ask them to fund the whole project. In fact, they had $120,000.00 worth of fundraising on their own already accomplished before they even presented the proposal to help tip it over the top. Kudos to Lori Clemente, the rest of ARRF and the private donors for the great job they have already done in making an animal shelter a reality for the Upper County's displaced pets. All of the people who live here benefit from this in one way or another, whether it be in a safety capacity for problem animals, a safe place for owners to retrieve lost pets, less of our police force time spent transporting animals instead of staying here protecting citizens, or a concern for a humane way to house homeless pets until new homes can be found for them.
