I just wanted to point out to the readers that if you do end up wanting to get rid of your extended warranty, gap insurance, maintenance plan, etc, there is now a consumer advocate service that actually helps you get your refund. They will handle the cancellation process for you and know how to get you a pro-rated refund, sometimes a 100% refund depending on how long it's been. You can visit them at www.mywarrantyrefund.com

I believe that the government should make it mandatory for car sales to have a cooling-off period. This will minimize if not eliminate those dirty/tricky sales tacktics.
By putting a coolling-off period, dealers will be more careful in forcing you those unnecessary sales pitch. After all once the 'adrenalin' is gone, the buyer starts thinking on what was really needed or can afford to pay for.
