Do you look at reviews when thinking about buying a book?

I read reviews on the blogosphere occasionally.

I don't read reviews much -- just get book recommendations from friends and/or follow authors I like.

Sure! I look at the number of reviews on Amazon, and how highly rated a book is.

I prefer to check out reviews from my local bookstore. They have a pretty good idea of what's good.

I might read a few reviews on Amazon.

I read a lot of reviews from the blogs/websites I visit, but I don't usually put much stock in Amazon reviews, not close enough to the community I want to belong to...

It depends on where the recommendation for the book is coming from. If from a friend or favorite author, then generally not. If it's an Amazon recommendation or kindle daily deal, I'll peruse review titles. Or if it's a sequel to a book, and I'm not sure I want to keep reading the series.
