These Polls are skewed more towards 21st century because they are still somewhat remembered

I am not sure about 2 through 4 but there is no question whom is #1 here..... RUSS REIGEL ..
Anything else would be a FARCE

Wow lot of people crying here about some jokers who didn't even make the list. How about just either voting for who you like or don't vote if you want to whine about it. I am sure that you personally have your own feelings about some individual you know but this is cumulative and was put together by a panel.

Missing many geat athletes and coaches.
Keller and Buckley FB, Bill Craft Track , Steve Jackbson who brought Lax to HCHS and Willie Leonardi basketball all who I had the privilege to call my coach.

  • Paul Giles - 9 years ago

Very incomplete list. Plenty of great athletes who didn't get the publicity but were better than what's represented here.

  • William Trojanowski - 9 years ago

A few who come to mind....Frank Snook who is the only HCRHS player to make the majors. Gerhard Schwedes who played with the Baltimore Colts the Patriots and Titans as well as a mojor star at Syracuse U in football. Johnny Johnson baseball (Pirates org) and National Champion in Punt Pass and Kick. Bill Wallace does not get enough credit as other than Schwedes is the only football player ever taken in the draft from HCRHS. Wallace was also an excellant basketball player.

What about Steve Gibble!! A football state champ, a wrestler, coach for football and lack, and long time Head Coach for wrestling!!! As well as an excellent teacher!!!

How does dinmore not make this list after making 3 strait wrestling state finals?

  • Meg Kraft - 9 years ago

Dale Orashen 1979. cross country, gymnastics and track and field. Over all athlete as well as most spirited.

Thom Woodward 1966. Football, basketball and baseball. Held some records in football. There use to be a trophy with his name on it in the showcase by the front door. Don't know what they do with the old trophies from back then.

Happy for those who are listed but there are many more that should be and these are two others.

Coach Bill Craft is missing off this list. From 1976 to 1979 the girls track and field team was undefeated. I don't know how many years he coach both the boys and girls track teams but it had to be at least 20. Some one probably knows. He also coached basketball in the 60's. Not sure what else he coached. He was a fantastic coach and mentor to many athletes and left a lasting impression on me!!!

While I am excited to see this happen for the High School I attended and think it is great for these exceptional individuals to all be recognized, I hope this poll is only part of the decision making process. Best of luck to everyone.
